I totally dislike clothes for dogs, but I think the hairband actually has a good reason. Because of the long hair, Yorkies often have problems with eye infections and stuff. The hair hangs over the eyes, and sometimes the tips even poke them in the eyes, causing irritations. So it's quite important to keep the hair away from the eyes.

I'm sorry to hear about your other dog. I used to have Jack and one of his brothers Scrumpy, but unfortunately we had to have Scrumpy put down as he had bone cancer He was such a happy chappy as well! I miss him

She's 11 months now, and actually a lot bigger. Have to take some new pictures of her and put them up tomorrow.

And yeah, he was the first dog I ever had, and he was 11 when he developed a brain tumor. At first he was just disorientated and sometimes he couldn't walk properly, so I used to carry him....which wasn't easy, he was about 165 lbs of pure muscle. But then he seemed to forget who people were and turned aggressive against everybody but me, he was always very protective over me, so I guess he thought everybody was out to get to me. One night I woke up and he was bleeding from his nose, and he was whimpering, which he had never done before. I could tell he was in pain, so I carried him to the vet in the middle of the night, and he put him to sleep. It totally broke my heart, but I didn't want him to have to suffer, he didn't deserve that.

I completely know how you feel. Scrumpy was just limping everywhere and whining all the time. We took him to a specialist over a hundred miles away, but there was nothing they could do so in the end we had no other alternative. It's such a shame, but at least they're in better places now

Yep! you hit the nail on the head! Trust me, If i didnt have to do it I wouldnt.. But i did try a visor cut on her when we first got her, but her hair grew waaaay too fast, so that didnt work out, as she would have to go to the groomer every week and a half just about Not doing that, cuz she dont like the groomer.. lol..

San
- What a gorgous Lab (Im going to assume shes a lab) And Omg, Your rottie was Gorgous.. Sorry for your loss.. A pittie X that i used to walk recently Got hit by a car and had to be PTS cause his owners were too Cheap to pay for vet bills, Even tho he could have easily healed (Trust me, these people can afford vet bills) Butch was another one of my "Charity cases" lol.. And San, your kitties are beautiful ! I would love to have a cat, But i dont have The time to prepare raw meals for one, and i am a Big beleiver in proper nutrition for cats..

These are my babies I treat them as if they were my children.. I've been told countless times I'm a crazy cat lady in the making, and I'm not about to deny it lol XP I am a huge animal lover though, cats, dogs, llamas, flies, elephants, jellyfish, ants, whatever, I like them all. . . . except for maybe turtles. I still hold a grudge with a turtle who lived in the forth grade classroom that bit me when I was cleaning out his tank... but that is another story.

This isn't the best picture but then again, you try getting 5 cats to sit nicely together and STAY there, while you run out the front door, go around to the back, and take a decent picture. NOT easy XP

(from left Vanilla, Tigger, Pepper, Sandy, and Oreo)

Oreo and Sandy are about 9 now, and the other three are about 5. Sure, they may not be as cute as kittens, but I love them each to pieces
