OK so in a few months when there's 4 feet of snow, and an artic wind chill and I'm bellyaching about the cold (I really do like the cold) I need a reminder of how dang blasted hot it is right now...

My back is all sweaty...
temp is currently 97 (36 C)degrees with 50 percent humidity- heat index says 110 (43 C)... tomorrow is supposed to be hotter and humider...

my hair is in a frizzled mass of a pony tail at the top of my head because it's either that or shave my head because i can't stand hving my hair touch me right now...

Hows the weather by you?

It's pretty much the same. Not sure if the humidity is higher or lower - but highs today of 100 degrees -with a 110 degree heat index.

It's not the heat - but the humidity that drives me batty!

Finally some relief today. It was over 100 yesterday, then storms last night brought happiness to all in the Twin Cities! I think everything is dead though....grass is brown and crispy! I don't know if the rain will bring it back before the snow falls??

80's for the rest of the week now. I can handle that! Don't worry - - it's moving your way!

I once thought that humidity was worse than heat.. Until I spent a few weeks in Palm Springs in August... Everytime I left airconditioning it was like walking into an oven... a dry oven..breathing was difficult.. walking down one oft he main streets, most of the stores have mister things to spray water on people as they walk by- i think to prevent them from fainting.. but you never get wet the water just evaporates...

hmm... sounds like i'm a lot luckier than all of you...Washington had our little heat wave last week (and even then it only got to the 90s, but that's HOT for Western Washington!)

right now? I'm looking out at a beautiful blue sky with a few clouds. There's a slight breeze, and it's not too hot, or too chilly. A perfect day!

it's supposed to drop to the 80s thursday... by then i may just be a puddle on the floor... A former colleague asked me to go to lunch tomorrow - my response was - are you kidding actually have to put on real clothes and go out? NO!!! Thursday is fine...

Detroit is crazy hot too! Heat index is in the 100s. Went camping this weekend and the heat was in the 90's and you had no choice but to sit.

well its august in texas and we have all three months.... Jan,feb and hot lol....

weather is finally reasonable again.... i'm still waiting for the blizzards and 5 feet of snow.. but for now the sun is out... there'sa mild breeze blowing -- humidity is only 30 percent and the temp is about 85... it's better than over 100...
