Can't Cook

Basically, I'm a horrible cook and while I want to learn I sitll need to eat. Huge part of the reason why I am out of shape is the fact that I eat out more often than I should. Any suggestions?

Hey I love to cook but I have friends that don't. But you can do it. Most of the time I pick a day and cook a really big meal (usually Sundays) and then redo the big meal for other little meals during the week.
Say for example cook chicken breast and then Monday slice them and eat it over a salad. And then take the rest the next night and make a chili. There are alot of things you can do and only have to work one day.
There is a great web site you can go to and find really easy recipes. It is Allrecipes.com. Enjoy Tina

Likewise. This morning I woke up and was like.. hmm, should I go buy some fast food or burn something in the kitchen? Well, I got up and I made four things: shrimp with garlic and cilantro, chicken with same ingredients, rice and an Asian hot pepper sauce. Yummo!

Hey you know what is very easy to do in the mornings? Cook egg beaters with some fresh spinach (your any other veggies you like). Then place it inside a whole wheat pita pocket. I add a tiny amount of cheese. Because everything is better with a bit of cheese. I use 50% fat free cheddar. It really does not take that long to make and it is really good. Enjoy!

That sounds really good. I think I'll work on that tomorrow. Thanks!

Most importantly, don't be scared to cook! Just go ahead and do it! Sometimes you've just got to risk a pan every now and then (a non-stick pan makes this a lot less of a risk), risk a meal, risk getting burned. And if it doesn't come out right, consider it a learning experience.

One of the first things a chef learns to perfect is an omelette, so why not start practising with eggs? They're relatively cheap, so it's not such a huge deal if you mess up a dish. And they're so versatile, you can cook them many different ways, and add many different flavours to them. Also, try searching youtube for some "how to cook" videos, if you think that might help.

I really like the youtube idea. I'm pretty okay with the omelette. Even I can't mess that up. ha!
