Rep Power: 112 | | | Wheat Grass Smoothies Hey guys,
I thought I would share a cool smoothie recipe (kinda). Well for wheat grass smoothies just blend
wheat grass (very little, 15-25 blades)
any kind of your favorite fruits (usually two or three different fruits in small portions Ex: 3 medium strawberries and 1/3 cup of blackberries, or half a banana and half an orange)
1/4 cup of low fat or fat free plain yogurt (it simply aids in mixing)
blend them in a blender until the contents are liquefied, then add 1.5 cups of ice and blend until the ice and fruit are smooth, fluffy looking, and not a trace of grass can be seen. There will be uniform consistency and color throughout. Then Add a packet or teaspoon of Stevia (or any choice of sweetener but not sugar! very little sweetener is needed because the fruit already has sugar) continue to blend on the highest setting possible for 10-15 seconds. And you have a wheat grass smoothie!
Eat it with a spoon or drink it with a straw, it doesn't matter! Also, try eating all of it, there really is no reason to hold back. You can damn near eat all you want and not feel heavy but you will feel full.
I thought I would share this with you all because it helps with digestion/eases constipation and it provides a lot of energy. Also, 2-3 cups of the smoothie only amount to about 85-110 calories and it makes you feel full (especially for those mornings when you are just dying for a cinnamon roll or those afternoons when you are tempted to eat that cookie, these smoothies will help you fight off the hunger and cravings). However I must warn you all that too much wheat grass too quickly will make you nauseous if you consume a lot of fat on a daily basis!
I hope this helps.

Rep Power: 277053 | | | oh it was!! Trace Adkins was putting on some benifit concert in which the backstreet boys were preforming. They asked him to get them some wheat grass and black nail polish! it was hilarious!

Rep Power: 112 | | | Ha funny. Maybe spinach is a great substitute to the whole grass. I will try it sometime. And Jamba Juice...I'm sorry, lol. I worked at quizno's and I HATED it. I didn't eat a sandwich for months. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
