Low cal alchohol drinks?

Not too sure if this is the right place but here it goes.

I was wonder if anyone would like to share what alchohol beverage they drink on weekends or social gatherings that aren't high in colories. I'm a big beer drinker but thats totally out now.
I was thinking something like vodka and sprite zero would be good. Sprite zero claims to have zero calories and it taste like the original. I'm sure vodka has very low if any calories.

I've see low carb beer, but it's way too expensive.

I'm also a big fan of red wine and spritsers(white wine and diet 7 up)

So what do you all drink?

Stay strong.

I too drink beer. Bud Ice Light, or Miller Lite Ice but they don't sell it where I live now. These are strong beers, if you like weak beers theres michelob ultra, and that new rolling rock one. All of these pretty close to 100 cal.

Of course i had to chime in on this one. LOL.

I love wine, so I'll drink some wine if I am wanting a few drinks, I don't like hard alcohol so that's not an option. I do love beer though and will splurge once in a while on calories and have a couple, my favourite beer is Budweiser in a bottle so I have to have it sometimes, especially on hot days! YUM.

Oh yea and you brought up the Sprite Zero, I love that, tastes like the original alright.

cheers
michelle

I drink vodka and diet lemonade (sprite z) but most bars/clubs don't have diet lemonade and i can't stand vodka and diet cola, so when I'm out I drink vodka and oj which has more calories but less than other stuff!

I work in a club too, and it only sells beer and sugary alcopop drinks so I'm screwed!!

Ok jerry, I am not a huge drinker but I know they have like michelob light, miller lite, and bud light which is all supposed to be better choices then the others. The thing is my belief any way. On the days your going to drink eat less calorie foods like greens, carrots stuff that is going to give you more with less and then you will be able to drink moderately. If you are doing the drinking every day then there is no hope for you on finding the right beer because we all know it has been said that beer is fattening. Good luck

No, deffinently not everyday. I'm thinking once a week(saturday night). I found out that 1 oz of vodka has 65 calories. I guess moderation will be key here. Maybe i'll have to quit all togather. I'll just have my glass of water and tell everyone i'm drinking vodka LOL.

I went without alchohol for 3 months! And im a student... its in our nature to drink. hehe Not only did i notice that i didn't really need to drink to have fun... i was also cutting out loads and loads of calories plus saving money.

I drink now... but not as much... mainly coz i get drunk a lot more quickly now but thats beside the point. hehee

Yeah. Alcohol is just something I have to have on a weekly basis. The cause of, and solution to, all of lifes problems, right? Although beer was a contributing factor to my original weight gain, I have managed to lose almost 50 lbs in the past 3 months and still consume plenty of light and low calorie beers. Many lite beers have 30-50% less calories than regular.

I definately confess to enjoying a drink every now and then =)

My favorite is cranberry juice and vodka - but cranberry juice has SOOO many calories =( I did hear that they have diet cranberry juice out now - but haven't tried it yet.

I do like beer also. Beck's premium light is my fav (and only 63 cals - HALF than bud light and others) but it's kind of expensive. Rock Green Light (Rolling Rock light) is usually pretty cheap in my neck of the woods... like $5.49 for a six pack...

But limiting is always best... Have only one drink a night instead of a bunch... alternate with water... BEST BET - volunteer to be the designated driver - have one/two drink early in the evening and then take everyone else home (and get them to pay for your gas!)... then you have a slight buzz for some of the party, don't get a hang over, don't have that problem of drinking and not realizing how many you have had so you don't pay attention to what you order, and you can still have lots of fun.

If I drink I really enjoy Malibu Rum with Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke. The Malibu is 69 calories for a shot w/no other grams of anything and the Diet Coke/Pepsi obviously is nothing.
