do hot foods burn fat? soup? and nachos?

A few places on the web ive been told that hot foods burn fat? Is this true? I love hot food and was wondering if I should make all my food hotter and make my tastes even hotter. I can stand a shot glass of Tabasco ive done it on dares at least 3 times, if doing so every day could give me an edge id do it. I use heat all the time but should more heat be added into my diet? And if hot foods are good, do all hot foods work the same say peppers vs. wasabi or ground pepper vs. cinnamon.

I also like soup its my favored form of food, any one have some favored low fat and low cal but most importantly low crab, well just healthy soup recipes?

Also can any body please tell me a healthy low crab substitute for nachos ive been craving them like crazy all week and a “friend” ordered a whole plate of them at a Mexican joint last night in front of me. But I didn’t even have one I was really happy about that.

Depends on what source you look at...

Spicy foods don't really help you burn calories, says Carey Clifford, MS, RD, vice president of Nutricise (www.nutricise.com), an online nutrition and weight loss program. But they may help you enjoy healthy choices such as vegetables and chicken. "Spicy foods may boost your metabolism slightly, but unfortunately, it's too small a boost to be significant," says Clifford.

There is evidence to show that spices, especially chilli, can raise the metabolic rate by up to 50% for up to 3 hours after you’ve eaten a spicy meal.
A lot of weight loss pill contain Cayenne -- so it seems to help a bit..

I order extra spicy foods sometimes, because I find they reduce my appetite.

spicy foods boost your metabolism, rather than burn fat.

about the nachos, i dont think theres much you can do there, as its the corn chips (i think you call them crisps there) that have all the carbs. Cheese is not too bad for carbs.

Maybe you could try these couple of things...
1. use rice crackers instead of chips (you should be able to find low carb rice crackers somewhere)
2. im not sure how americans have thier nachoes, but in Australia, we start with corn chips, sprinkle with salsa or tomato paste, then cover in grated cheese. We dont ususally have guacomoli or sour cream ontop... but if you like these added exras, maybe substitute with fresh avocado mashed up, and cottage (ricotta) cheese.

Hope thats helpful
