Question Brownies anyone?

This isn't really a recipe, as much as it is a find.

I purchased this organic brownie mix (Dr. Oetker Organic -brand) from my local grocer last week and am just now getting around to baking them. You'll need 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of melted butter. My daughter just licked the spoon (lol) and says the batter tastes great.

Here is the nutritional break down of one brownie:

Calories: 180
Calories from fat: 10
Total fat 1g
Sodium 90 mg (kinda high)
Total carbs 36 g (26 g sugar)
Protein 1 g

So what do you think? Anyone interested, better yet...anyone have a better recipe and/or brand?

Need to make a change

The box says that the box contans nine servings, but I just took them out of the oven and sliced them into 20 pieces ... so I guess that's less calories!

Wow! that's like 81 cals per piece! That's pretty good for brownies.

lets see.... 180 calories for nine servings is 1620. Divide that by the 20 servings you cut it into so 1620/20 so your 20 pieces is roughly 81 calories...not bad. that should take care of that nasty old sweet tooth. Did you find it on the regular baking isle?

That's what I was thinking too!! I found them down the infamous "organic" aisle in the Food Lion right down the street from me, correction my daughter found them down the organic aisle. I ran in for bread, she came up to me with brownies. I gave her the eye and she said, "but they're organic Mommy!" What could I say to that except..."Let's check out."

Yeah, you can bring your brownies and we'll top it with a half cup of the chocolate fudge chunk ice cream!!! That's a 200 cal dessert. Can't beat that with a stick!!

Food Lion.... I was out of bread and its the closest grocery store. Harris Teeter is one block over but I didn't want to chance getting stuck at the light.
