Hi,

Are there any people in the UK that have had the gastric bypass that could tell me more about how they are getting on?

I am having mine in less than 2 weeks and would like some feedback just to calm my nerves!!

I live in portsmouth but thinking about having gastric bypass. Do you need to be over a certain weight to have this and do you need to follow a diet or can you eat what you want but obviously feel fuller. I am interested in the cost as this can be pricey + is there other ways to pay such as monthly.

Hi Lottie just wondered if you were referred by the NHS or did you go private??? If it was NHS, how long did it take from date of seeing doctor to ask till date of surgery?? And where abouts in uk are you??

I see its been a while since you posted, just wondered if you had the Op and how it is going for you, Ive just had a Conversion from Gastroplasty to Gastric by pass and it would be nice to hear how anyone else is getting on post op.
