I've had my balloon for nearly the full six months now and am due to have it out soon. However, I was wondering whether anyone else has had the same problem as me - since January I've had about three or four incidents of really quite nasty gastronenteritis (mainly bowel but some vomiting too). They're self limiting after a day or two and I've never had to seek further medical help or anything, but are not exactly nice (as well as making me have to take time off work).
I think that the balloon in my stomach is probably a very good medium for bugs to live on (especially given that I have no bug-killing acid in there due to the PPIs I've been popping). Just wondered if anyone else has had similar?
