Napping and Metabolism

My metabolism is something I never really worry about, I'm losing a fairly decent rate, so I assume it's working. I have always heard to workout in the mornings because it's supposed to kick start your metabolism so it burns more all day, however, studying for a test put me behind in homeworks and essentially killed my sleep pattern and I've been napping. So, my question is whether or not this is negating my daily workouts. It's not a habit I plan on maintaining, but it'd be good to know.

There is nothing wrong with napping, recovery is a good thing. Just make sure your daily calories are going along side your daily activity needs. Make each day a different day. Move more eat more, move less eat less.

There's no actual proven fact, that exercising in the morning is better than any other time of the day. Some even suggest exercsing on an empty stomach as opposed to having eaten breakfast. Those types of things are not be your concern. As long as you find time to work out, whether it be morning, afternoon or evening, you'll be ok, don't worry about those other things, you'll lose weight regardless.
