Hi, everyone. I'm Jason, 24 for a couple more weeks, 6'1", and I live in a suburb of St Paul/Minneapolis. I have been overweight my whole life (or at least a better part of it) and I think I am actually serious about losing some more of it.

I moved down here from Duluth, MN in October 2004 and probably weighed about 300# then. (I hated scales -- and do not really care for them now.) In January 2006 I joined a gym because I was finally not being asked to work so much overtime (the respite from OT was only a couple weeks, but the money was nice) and I have been going with moderate regularity since.

I have been down to 249# (I was glowing with pride) in April of this year, but have since been lazy and not been to the gym enough while continuing poor eating habits.

Now I think I am ready to quit the poor eating habits (I'm not on a strict diet, just trying to use smaller plates and bowls for better portion control) and trying to find a good plan for the gym. The past several weeks I have been walking 4 miles a couple times a week, but I need to get back into a plan with lifting weights, too.

My next goal is 240#. When I reach that, I think I might get my first tattoo. I have wanted one for a while and that will give me time to finalize what I want and give me a good life landmark to remember it by.

I will stop rambling. See you on the boards.
