A 600-pound woman who people paid $19 per month to watch hear eat heavily via a website she ran has shut the site down. Donna Simpson, 44, says she’s lost 85 pounds so far
Just a few years ago, Donna Simpson gained worldwide fame when tabloids and papers revealed that men paid nearly $20 per month to visit her website just to watch her consume large meals and, as a result, gain a tremendous amount of weight.
According to a December 2011 MSNBC report, Simpson’s weight reached 600 pounds at the time.
Now, the 44-year-old mother has changed her perspective and no longer accepts money in order to be an international spectacle. On her official website, she shares how her life has changed and that the well being of her son and daughter, whom she now has full custody of, comes first.
She admits the need for a therapist to help her overcome the effects of childhood abuse that lie at the root of her previous decision making. Weight loss, improved diet and regular exercise now hold top priority in her life.
