calories in one cup of pasta are about 175...
without measurig one cup of pasta looks like about the size of a tennis ball
Ok, thanks, well it was probably slightly over that so I put it up to 200 calories but that still makes my calorie intake for today only 481! So my dinner, which will be the last thing I eat, will have to be over 700 cal to make my 1200 mark? And I thought restricting would be difficult!
wholewheat toast-86 cal
pasta-200 cal-had a veg sauce on made from scratch
digestive biscuit-88 cal
dinner wil probably be grilled chicken and veg.
Should I try and eat a bit more, or just keep it as this as long as I don't feel like I'm starving myself?
don't push yourself to bring yourself over 1200 calories for the day - once in a while it's ok to be below that - but you want to really front load your day with more calories.. because it's when you expend the most energy...
The thing that i do to bring my cals up (i eat 1500 cals a day) is to eat snacks between lunch and dinner, and sometimes after dinner .
depending on how much you burn, how tall you are ect. you should be eating at least over 1200, or else your metabolism will slow.
