It's really helped me to always have something healthy to eat on hand. In my briefcase, I always have a protein bar or an apple or something so that my hunger can be managed before it becomes completely out of control. I used to come home from work and eat anything I laid my eyes upon. Now, I can come home wait awhile and actually prepare something healthy.

I'm new to the forum but wanted to say, I used to have a glass (sometimes 2) of wine when fixing dinner. It got to be a habit after quite a few years. I took up drinking tea instead while I fix dinner. I bought several really nice brands and make a ritual about fixing it. Now I look forward to my tea instead of my wine and it's saving me calories. Not to mention tea is good for you!
