Rep Power: 7 | | | Rewards Hi all! I think everyone does this in one form or another, but how many plan to reward themselves with something special when they hit a first goal? What will the reward be? I'll share first! Of course I want to buy a new sexy item of clothing, but I really want to get my left nostril pierced, but I decided if I wait until I reach my first goal, it will push me harder to stick with my fitness plan. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Well I think the best reward is when my favorite clothes will fit me again. Hopefully this will be in the nearest future! But I might buy some new clothes as well-probably a new jeans. That's where you will be able to see your success the earliest; buying a smaller size than I had to buy recently. |

Rep Power: 30 | | I have rewarded myself with a magazine subscription for sticking with a schedule of working out for a certain period of time (it was Women's Health or SELF I believe - something to add encouragement). I also had a bowl with a bunch of those river rocks in it & a jar beside it. For every 30 minutes I worked out I would move a rock over. Then at the end of the month I would "cash" in my rocks. It was like a dollar a rock or something & I could spend it on a new book, cd, clothes something to treat myself without feeling guilty. Haven't done it in a while but it helped me get going motivation wise.
Another thing I did once was to buy a big pillar candle & lit it when I got on the treadmill then blow it out when I got off. The idea was that I would treat myself when I got to the end of it with something special, but I forgot about it. Might have to start lighting that candle again!
Good luck with whatever motivates you. |

| I have an almost buddy on another website that has a positive glass.. she has a jar of little trees that you stick a handful of them and it becomes a big ole pile of nicely scented bubbles... for every postive thing she does for herself she puts a tree into a martini glass... she might have 10 things a day or more or less but she keeps track - when the glass is full to her liking she gets a postive bubble bath as a reward...
Its sort of a sweet idea... |

Rep Power: 8 | | | Genius! If I'm limiting "spending" calories, then I want to spend money to compensate. Only I don't have money, which then gets me into different trouble, so this idea is genius! It only works if I'm not constantly buying everything I want. Thanks!

Rep Power: 12 | | | I did really well this year with loosing all my pregnancy weight (still have more to go though) so I just bought myself new tennis shoes and workout clothes, I had been workign out in big t-shirts and uncomfy bulky pants, I went clearance shopping and got a good deal of athletic wear at cheap prices, somehow working out in the 'fancy' athletic wear makes me want to work harder, plus I am not hidden under all clothes so when I am stretching I look at myself so I can try to imagine a smoother future me! Also I stay cooler in those clothes (whcih I thought was BS) but I really do which allows me to work out harder! |

I bought myself 2 more sleeveless karate gi tops (which alas are still too big) and also p90x and Perfect Pushups.
It's kinda cool when you can set your 'rewards' to be something that help you maintain your current well-being!
Enjoy,
