Rep Power: 0 | | Isn't Vitamin E really good to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks??
That's what I have always been told, I have a lot on my lower back and I hate it... everytime I look at my butt in the mirror there they are! Ugh! Hehe
Anyways, maybe try that if you don't want to spend a lot or have health risks involved.
Note: If you look up "reduce stretch marks" there will be a ton of links to different products for creams and stuff that might be worth checking out if the ingredients aren't disgusting. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | this isn't entirely related, but have you heard of the lotions that are supposed to reduce the appearance of cellulite? I know that Jergens and Suave both have a version of it... does anyone know if it works? and what would be the reason that it does (if it does)? |

Rep Power: 25 | | | I have heard of those lotions. But I do not think it is what is in the lotion. I think you can get the same effect from any lotion. Its the pressure and massaging you do while you are putting the lotion on. At least this is what I heard. So, I try to always put lotion on. Honestly I can not tell if it works or not!! LOL |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I thought stretch marsk came when you gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time...that way the skin couldn't sort of expand fast enough...either way they definetely have creams and junk that help them fade. Like that scar stuff, same results.

Rep Power: 0 | | Beauty marks? Oh YES have lots of em. After spittin out four kids, I also call em battle scars! I guess because Im older I just dont care bout them that much. Got em on my thighs, lower stomach and breasts. Its the stupid wrinkles that get my goat!
Maybe a good tan, or fake tanning would help. The good news is they fade with time and weight loss. Mine do. And water keeps the skin more elastic too. drink plenty of it! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Arms I have stretch marks on the inside of my upper arms. I'm so self conscious of them that I never wear sleeveless shirts. But when I see them on other women wearing sleeveless shirts I don't think they look so bad. I guess my problem is only partly the actual marks but even more my confidence. |

Rep Power: 0 | | stretch marks I have stretch marks just about everywhere possible. I started getting them around age 12, I guess because I was growing so fast, and then got more when I gained weight in highschool and college. Most of them have faded, but I try to stay tan, whether by tanning or fake tan, because they seem less noticable then. Cocoa butter definitely helps them fade more quickly, and weightloss makes them look smaller, but they are definitely here to stay. As I lose weight, I just look at them as reminders of what I am leaving behind and want never to go back to. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | stretch marks hey guys,
i just joined the forum, obviously i am trying to loose some weight. i think the weight started comming on after i finished college. once i got to my full time office job, i decided it was time to start loosing weight, since this was kind of a new point in my life. there is a reason i am telling you guys its on office job, i noticed i was sitting down alot. since i am only 22 years old, i am afraid that this will get worse and i have only been working at this company for roughly 9 months.
i noticed that i am getting some stretch marks. i am not sure if they are from gaining weight or losing weight. i tried doing a little research and i read that you can get them from gaining weight and losing weight.
can i lose these stratch marks? (i am afraid that i cant)
right now i am at 185 and i am 5 ft 8 in tall. i started working out last summer, lifting weights and i play ice hockey a few times a week. i would like to lose weight, but since i am lifting weights, i guess im not going to be worried about the actual number, i want to get some fat off this belly and my face is a little chubby too.
thanks for the advice to come. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I have some impressive stretch marks but I don't know that they are going to go away. As I have been losing weight, some of the newer ones seem to be disappearing but the older ones look rather permanent to me. |

Rep Power: 31 | | | All I know is that there are lotions and creams on the grocery store shelves that claim to have an effect on stretch marks....I hear cocoa butter is good.
Sorry I can't be of more service. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | thanks for all the replies so far. i just noticed another feature on this forums lists common threads at the bottom. i didnt realize that and i read some of those and i guess i got the info that i didnt want to hear...haha. oh well.
another thing is, can i get them from just sitting a lot? i do that alot at my job, not that i have a choice really, gotta get the work done. or is it just from gaining weight quickly? | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
