Rep Power: 0 | | | I believe they don't go away, for someone that might be heavy and lost weight it may reduce the look of them but they're always going to be there. In saying that I know that there is a cream that treats acne that can also be used on stretchmarks...whether it really works I'm not sure. Maybe contact a dermatologist? I wouldn't worry too much about it...most people have them somewhere. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | There is a gel for scars and stretch marks called Mederma and it works
over a period of at least 6 weeks and even then the stretch marks won't be totally gone just less noticeable. It's kinda pricey, you may
just want to try vitamin E capsules, take the liquid out and put it on your stretch marks. It alot cheaper and probably works just as good! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I tried cocoa butter with Vitamin E- and although it does work really well, it doesn't take them away completely. I really want to try Mederma, I've heard really good things, but it is really expensive. Hmm... but the vitamin E capsul thing is a good idea, I might have to try that. |

Rep Power: 0 | | stretch marks Not really sure where to post this question. But, after you lose the weight, what can you do about the stretch marks that is acquired from having two children? Isn't there some sort of laser something that can get rid of them and does anybody know the cost? Just wondering. |

Rep Power: 21 | | | actually I agree with that...after using the the fake and bake beds (used in moderation) I found that mine were greatly deminished...but I suppose it would all depend on your skin type...also be sure to weigh the pros and cons of tanning beds though as they are not the healthiest...and remember to wear your goggles....its said that the ultravioulet can promote cateracts in your eyes. |

Rep Power: 25 | | | I have tried the spay on tan once last summer. It turned my hands and feet unbelievable orange and I had this funny smell for a couple days. It was a little streaky on my legs as well. After all that I didn't take the time to see if my stratch marks were covered. It faded completely in one week. My friend tried the spray on twice. She was orange the first time, but she loved her results the second time. I guess it's up to the individual and what your skin type is like initially. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I have had the same probelm with stretch marks on my staomach after having 2 children. I had a complete blow out, they come halfway up my mid-section. I did the fake and bake beds and they helped a little, my biggest thing was the sagging skin. The only thing I know to get rid of that is a tummy tuck. One of these days I might muster up enough umph to get it done. Good luck. |

Rep Power: 15 | | well I think it's too late for this suggestion, but my friend works at the Body Shop, and she recomends uging the body butter during pregnancy. It keeps the skin very elasticy so you won't get as many stretch marks. |

Rep Power: 25 | | I had the same problems with the sun, my skin would get darker and the stretch marks would be more apparent. Simply put they are scars. I have a huge scar on my back due to 3 spine surgeries and it never gets tan either. And as far as the cocoa butter cream during pregnancy, I was in the hospital after using it during my 4th month and finding I had an allergic reaction to it. I've seen make-ups for scars but who wants to cover their body every day like that. I don't let stretch marks bother me too much. They are mostly in places where no one would normally see them anyway. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
