A Bagel or a Donut?

I thought this article was very interesting. Until recently I started almost every day with a Dunkin Donut's Bagel

Smile That is why I have cut down on carbs

It did surprise me that I could have almost 2,5 chocolate frosted donut instead of 1 plain bagel with cream cheese. I would one a good day with a bit of sanity left still choose the bagel....

What caused me to become overweight was eating way too many carbs and far too little fruit, vegetables and lean meat.,, and being totally physically inactive.
Seems I got way too many calories eating those high carb breakfast (3 big pancakes with mapple sirup and 2 bagels with cream cheese) Contain about half the calories I should eat in one day.

Balance is everything and getting lots of nutrients and trying to become more physically active.

If you got a real bagel - not those big roll like things they sell at DD - then the calories would be different - a real bagel has been boiled first and has a nice chewy texture... dunkin donuts bombs aren't bagels.

yes a dd bagel has a lot more calories than a dd donut but one bagel will leave you full and satisfied a lot longer than one donut will...
