I hope this is the right area, wanted to share my success

Greetings everyone!
I'm very new to the forums, I wish I had found them much earlier.
My name is Rick, i'm 22 and was formerly 270 pounds. My point to this post is to share my success story and hopefully inspire a few others to do what i'm doing.
I was tired of being overweight, I was that way my entire life. So finally, after losing my job I had some free time on my hands. I decided it was time to take action and stop feeling so badly about myself. Well I did some research on the internet to find a diet that would best suit me. Again I wish I found this place earlier, it would of been a great form of support seeing as I had very little from my obese family members . Well after spending a week or so looking for a solid diet I came across an idea, or more specifically a website with an idea, that taught how to shift calories instead of starving yourself. The website says it can help you lose 11 pounds in 9 days. Well its been about 5 weeks now, and i'm down 30 pounds. Let me say that again because it feels great, i'm down 30 pounds. Weighed in last night at 239.8lbs.
I can't even tell you how ecstatic I am about myself. I know I am still overweight as I am 5'10. I need to lose about 40 more pounds before I can say I've completely succeeded. But 30 pounds is a start! Anyway, it feels great to tell a bunch of people and i've included a link to the website down below in my signature. I'll keep posts updating my status along the way!

I think if you spent some time sifting through the forum, you'd find that nobody around here recommends starvation dieting.

It's all about finding a balance between eating right and exercising. So many permutations of useful 'plans' can be deduced from that.
