I had guests for dinner last night and I wanted to cook something special. So I cooked a great menu including a mousse au chocolat as well which is not low-calorie at all. Actually I had decided not to eat eat, but I couldn't resist and so I also ate some. But this morning the scale said that I have gained a little weight again. I am so disappointed. I just cheated one time and I got the receipt at once. It is just not fair.
you live in the real world - you can factor treats into your day if you want them - and the scale will fluctuate on a daily basis...
it takes generally 3500 calories for you to gain a pound - an actual pound - but it could be a lot less than that to make the scale change... so I'd say don't worry about it and get back to what you were doing today and stay away from the scale
Mals right! I heard that you really should only weigh once a week b/c the scale really does change day to day, I think water intake has alot to do with that too?? But anyways, don't worry about it, just get back on track and it'll come off!
Thank you so much about your fast statements. This forum really helps me a lot. Maybe it was really a mistake to weigh myself in the morning. Hopefully you are right and it was just water and not a bad consequence of the mousse au chocolat. Probably it would be really better for me not to weigh every day as I usually do.
No of course I didn't eat the whole thing although I ate quite much I have to admit. But I did lots of sports yesterday. I had to do this to get rid of my bad conscience. And I was so happy when I saw what the scale showed me; I lost the stupid mousse au chocolat! Now I really feel better-probably it was really just water or something and it is not too bad to cheat sometimes :-)
