Calorie Counter/Food Planner

I've been thinking about keeping a blog about my everday food intake. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a website that can help me easily find caloric values of foods, maybe even offer a planner? I will feel really stupid if this site offers it. I'm very new, and im very sorry if i missed a sticky or something

I use CalorieKing - Diet and weight loss. Calorie Counter and more. daily. I also have the Calorie King Fat and Calorie book. It is a nice size and fits perfectly in my purse.

Oh thanks big time. I appreciate it

edit: Im on fitday, and im looking through the activity calculator. Im just checking the things I usually do, and I noticed my occupation has me burning 1068 calories just from that. Doesn't that seem a little out of place seeing as all im doing all day is standing and typing (bank teller)? Pretty much...i can base how accurate this fitday calculator is based on the accuracy of that? That sound right, wrong? Thoughts?

Standing burns a lot of calories, compared to sitting.

I personally don't worry about tracking calories burned, because that can vary so much from person to person. I track calories eaten, because that number is fairly ascertainable.

well the problem with not knowing how much you burn in a day is that you need a cap of how much you can eat...if you know your even level, you know how much to dip under. If you burn 2400 calories in a day, going to 1400 might be too little to drop...

I don't have that problem, because I don't exercise.

I really like thedailyplate.com, it has been working very well for me so far. I have not upgraded to Gold and find that they have most if not all of the key features are free. I also like their forums so maybe thats why... you should check it out, to me it seemed so much easier than fitday
