Rep Power: 0 | | Is this even possible? I would like to lose about 2lbs a week with eating correctly (including portion control) and some cardio daily. I have a 9-month old so I don't have the freedom to go to the gym daily. I would like to know if this is possible and if so, can some of you send me examples of a useable daily menu and cardio that will allow me to accomplish this goal.
Thanks

Rep Power: 20 | | If you weigh 400 pounds, totally possible. If you weigh 150, probably not - at least not for long. |

Rep Power: 20 | | Yeah, you can't lose the last 18 pounds at 2 pounds a week, at least not in any reasonable, healthy way.
I've been going on a fairly steady 15 pounds every 2 months (which is about 1.6 pounds a week, since months aren't 28 days long), and by my spreadsheet, the last 18 pounds should take me 98 days. And I don't have a particularly low BMI as my goal, which makes a difference, too. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Wow 15 pounds every 2 is a good number. I lost 25 over about 4 (or 4 1/2) months. |

Rep Power: 7 | | Since your a stay home mom, I'd say run around with your son/daughter. While he/she is sitting down, play peekaboo or act silly.. anything to jump around like a funny monkey. Not only will you be entertaining him/her, you'll also get a good mini workout out of it. You can also try free weights (1-15 lb dumbbells), jump rope, jog in place, do a combination of push ups, crunches, squats, lunges, jumping jacks and then back to push ups.. so on so forth again in a timely matter. Youtube, on Demand, videos you can rent, tigers and bears oh my.. there are TONS of exercises you can do at home if you can't simply head out to the gym. I mean, come on, who straps their baby to their back and hops on a treadmill? In this crazy world, I have yet to see that. |

Rep Power: 217 | | A goal of one percent of your body weight a week is a reasonable expection, but don't freak out if you don't get it every week.. Read the Scale mentality thread.. there are far better methods of judging progress than the scale.. ANYTHING can cause the scale to go up or down.
Read the stickied threads in the nutrition forum, to give you a good baseline for calories... and use something like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal to keep track of youf calories -and be honest and accurate about what you are recording.. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
