Anyone tried working out with a weight vest?

So I have been thinking about getting one of those 20 pound weight vests, to just mix things up when I do my cardio work outs. Anyone every try one? Did you like it or did you find it got in the way too much for your work out?

it will burn more calories ergo you will loose more weight. Dunno if its comfy or not, im guessing it will be a harder workout at a guess

I've used them before for sport specific training. Using them to increase how hard your cardio is to you just puts extra strain on everything in your body, when you could have accomplished the same thing by just going a bit longer.

$.02: Unless you are training for something specific, why take the risk / spend extra dough?

Borrow a kid, please ask first, lest you be labelled a degenerate
Play horsie with kid for a few hours.. .

it always amuses my personal trainer that my left arm is stronger than my right, even though im right handed. The left arm is the one that always carried the kid or shopping whilst the right pushed a pram and opened doors etc.
Kids make great weights!

I use the Xvest weighted vest. It's a bit pricey but it is a very secure fit. I love mine for walking and hiking. You are only suppose to use 10% of your body weight in weights for the vest. You start out with 4% to get used to wearing it.

I love how easy all workouts become after you take the vest off. I swear you feel like you can fly once you remove the vest.

I think it is well worth the money.
