Losing weight and feeling depressed, is it normal?
I'm about 25 pounds from my ideal weight and have been on a diet and excersise program for the past week. I found today that I have become excessively depressed. I've been keeping my blood sugar levels up by eating snacks between my main meals and eat main meals 3 times a day.
I shouldn't be feeling depressed and can't get the reason why.
Has anyone else started to feel depressed while on a diet and excersise program?

how many calories a day are you consuming? and how m uch exercise you're doing?
for most people -- (i get most of my quotes from pop culture so here goes ) exercise releases endorphins, endorphins makes people happy... so the exercise shouldn't be making you depressed.
I'd strongly suggest talking to your doctor about how you're feeling?

It might be if you were consuming a lot of sugary foods, it could have that affect on you. It's like you go thru a withdrawl. This is just speaking from my own experience as sweets were always my downfall and when I cut them out, I do get a bit depressed at first.
Also the whole change may be affecting your chemical balance. A visit to the doctor couldn't hurt.....
