I am at work right now and I have tons of time to organize it...this shouldn't be a problem. :-)
So what have you found to be your most successful tool in losing weight? |

I thought I knew what a cup was and what a tsp was... but until I started measuring and recording portion sizes - what drove me crazy that I thought I had a healthy diet and yet couldn't lose weight - made me realize that it wasn't what I was eating -but how much and it didn't m atter if it was healthy food - calories is calories is calories -and they all add up... so measuring food was very improtant but the most successful tool I had was plannning menus in advance...
I had some leeway so i wouldn't be too regimented but I'd plan out once a week andpopst on the fridge - what I was eating that week -andmy prep time once a week in the ktichen - cutting veggies and such up - made it easier |

Rep Power: 0 | | I need to buy one of those. I don't currently have one. I am guessing right now. Except for the cups. I can do them lol..thanks to the trusty measuring cup XD
I will definatley need a scale though. I get paid tomorrow so that shouldn't be a biggy. I don't want to step on the REAL scale for another couple of weeks. I feel that might hurt my feelings. :-(
Do you know a good place to get recipes...affordable ones? lol

Rep Power: 217 | | there's a ton of recipe sites on the web... allrecipes.com has the nutritional info.. but in reality - (and i've been accused of being arrogant when I say this ) pretty much any recipe can be adapted to a healthier lifestyle -it's just using alittle common sense and reading labels... |

I won't go so far as to call you arrogant..I would call myself lacking in the area of common sense. LOL
I have always been better at booksmarts myself. XD
I am one of those people who do a lot better with having it set in stone...Already mapped out for me. It's a lot easier for me to follow that way. One of my guilty pleasures is rice. That's going to be hard to stay away from. |

there's no reason to stay away from rice - brown rice or wild rice are probably better choices but jasmine rice or basmati rice are good as well.. Eat what you enjoy -just make it work within your day... |

Hi LandonsBaby!
It could very well be possible. By the time I put my son to bed around 8:30 I end up playing my game for a long time. Then when I get into bed I stress over things. By the time I am falling asleep it's really late. That could definately be it. |

Thanks! I am going to go and check those out..I am really hungry..lol
See, I thought I couldn't have rice at all :-/ I am going to look up my lovely food group tree and print that out. I am making a book for the nutrition items..such as recipes, what I should be eating, and try to figure out a schedule for those foods. I am also going to make a section strictly for exercise so I know what I have done. |
