Rep Power: 0 | | | Will I gain weight from this? I ate 1,480 calories today. The only thing is that most of it was calories in ice cream and cookies, and I ate all of my calorie allowances before 1:00 pm. I don't know, I was just hungry for that food and I REALLY wanted to eat it, but I kind of got carried away. But will I gain weight from it? I'm trying to loose about 4 more lbs so I can finally reach my goal weight of 125 lbs. It is 2:10 pm right now and I'm still quite full, and I'm planning on not eating anymore today, I'm stuffed.

Rep Power: 5977 | | | I tend to allocate my calories for the week - so if I know I'm going to have a 'bad day' then I adjust my calories for the rest of the week to compensate.
That way I can enjoy myself.

Rep Power: 0 | | Well, I ate more anyway. I'm so sick and disapionted in myself, I've only been on my diet for 6 day for crying out loud! And I give in to a little temptation. Can I only have a little? Heck NO! If I have tiny little taste I have to eat EVERYTHING IN SITE. What is wrong with me? I'm so dissapointed in myself. I ended up eating this over my calories. 2, 37 calorie cookies, a spoonful more of ice cream, 2 molasses cookies, half a glass of milk, and two mini poppy seed muffins.
I might gain about 1 lb of "temporary" fat that will go away. But will any of it get stored as fat? I'm going to go workout with my cardio MAX DVD in about 20 minutes. and do it for about 30 minutes. I know I'm probably over reacting, but I worked so hard at staying on track for the last 6days that I feel like I failed anyway.

Rep Power: 5977 | | | You haven't failed, it was just a little slip. And the fact that you're feeling guilty means that you'll be extra good for the rest of the week.
So you were a little indulgent - it happens. You're human, not a machine, and will have occasional slips. Don't let this slip make you give up.

To gain a pound of fat, you need to eat 3500 calories in suprplus of what you burned. What you listed won't add up to a pound of fat. You might gain a bit a of water weight from what you ate, but thats nothing. Don't worry...your still on track. Even the best of us slip everyonce in a while.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Your doing a great job! It is hard at the beginning because you are making changes and it is hard to not go back to old habits. The way I get through those days and get back on track is to think about how going over my calories made me feel, both emotionally and physically.
The stuff you overate on is the stuff that I had a huge problem with. If you overeat on the junk and are close to your cals for the day and still have a lot of the day left, why not make lighter choices for the rest of the day? Have some fruit or veggies, make a nice salad with some chicken...whatever you like that will fill you up with fewer cals. Just because you started your day off bad doesn't mean you have to keep eating the junk food.
Good luck. Remember, you are doing a great job! Your going to slip up sometimes so don't beat yourself up over it. Just keep moving forward. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
