A friend of mine just shared this push-up program with me. I am going to start it and thought I would share it here. It may have been shared here before, but we have enough newbies that it can't hurt.
I have challenged several people to a "push-up off" using that program. Thus far I have no takers.
You feel lucky tiffany?
That depends? How buff are you? I have to weight my risk according to if I think I can take you or not. I don't like to lose. lol
I am going to start this program on the 25th. (because I will be out of town most of next week) I will probably take the initial test today and am fully prepared to be completely humiliated. I bet I can do maybe 5. eeek. BUT- I am competitive so once I start the program I will smoke it! How bout you? Have you done the initial test??

Nope. I havent done pushups in a few months actually. I think I could fire off 20 or so. I'm thinking of starting a forum challenge. What do you think? We could use different variations so everyone could do it. From 60 degree pushups to burpees for the more fit people.
Ok. So my ignorance of the word burpee sent me to google where I found this: Bodybuilding.com - Ross Enamait - Burpee Conditioning - No More Nonsense! ya gotta scroll down a bit. Actually we did these in high school and college basketball practice, but I don't think we called them burpees. They are hard. I wanna do it!

I am up for a forum challenge for sure.
Nope. Its funny that Ross's name is on that article because he doesnt do burbees that way. When I do burpees I add a push-up. Burpees
I already do 3 sets of death crawls a couple days a week. Starts off in a standing position and crawls down into pushup position, only letting hands and feet touch the ground the whole time during the crawl. Do six pushups and then crawls back up to a stand in the same fashion. Pause and rest 5-10 seconds and crawl back down and do five pushups. Crawl back up. Repeat until you get down to one, then count back up to six from one.
I think I can already do about 50 straight. I'm still young though, so good luck to anyone with age against them.
