Rep Power: 0 | | | I need some help Alright i know most of the time packeged meals is a NO NO. But i was at the store today and came across "South Beach Living Meals". They are next to the lunchables. I picked on up and looked at it the "Grilled Chicken Caesar" Here are the nutrition facts can you tell me if there really good or bad. I will also tell you that its only 5 points for this meal (weight watchers points that is). It comes with 2 wheat tortillas, grilled chicken breast cuts, parmesan cheese shreds, light classic caesar reduced fat dressing & sugar free cherry jello. The nutrition facts are

Rep Power: 217 | | | Will you eat it and will it satisfy you?
Don't worry so much about what's good and what's bad on a meal by meal basis - that will make you CRAZY - instead of just Kate... Obessing over the little things aren't healthy overall -Look at the big picture and where that meal falls into your day.
that meal 3 x a day would be bad... it's way too processed... but once a day - once or twice a week - IF and only IF it satisfies you then don't worry about it
though the cheapskate in me says with about 10 minutes worth of effort you could prepare exactly the same thing using non-processed foods that would taste a lot better.. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi thanks for your opinion well i was thinkin possibly for me to bring to work with me for lunch so id only eat it once a day maybe 2 or 3 days out of the 5 days i work. I just was thinking convience wise. And i did buy it and eat it today and it filled me up. I do make my own chicken wrap which consist of whole wheat tortilla, grilled chicken (perdue kind thats prepackaged), fresh spinage leaves & mustard that all comes to 280 calories and is 4points (on weight watchers) that is for 1 wrap. But the South Beach Meal you get 2wraps and a jello and together that is only 230 calories and 5pts on weight watchers. I did buy the meal today ate it and it did fill me up.

You should avoid prepackaged meals; you can't live on them forever (gets expensive) and you should be learning how to prepare healthy food anyway.
I do eat prepackaged meals for lunch and used to eat them for dinner, but I am weaning myself off of them as I learn how to cook more appropriate food and assemble a collection of healthy recipes. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
