Holiday Eating... ugh

So how did every one do over thanksgiving?

My family is big. They are all huge eaters and cook a lot of food around the holidays. I made myself sick on thursday eating the things they made. after 2 months of healthy living i feel gross today after eating what i did over the weekend. I'd say my caloric intake for those days were twice or more what i have been eating.

Can't wait to hit the gym today and sweat out some of the funkyness i been feeling.

I did ok...I stayed away from most of the horrible stuff, and indulged a little in desserts. Like a quarter of a piece of pie and a cupcake. Then we had the second Thanksgiving at the mother-in-law's house. Again, ok, with a little dessert indulgence. My calculations showed me within my calorie limits for the days.

The only thing was that I did HORRIBLE drinking water. Like for four days I didn't get enough. The scale was up a couple of pounds this morning, but it's just a fluctuation, I think. We'll see later this week!

But just like you...back on track now, and no more sugar!!!

well I had thanksgiving back in october since i'm canadian. But! with regaurd to the holiday season in general (basically anytime the family gets together and makes a huge dinner). I've always used the holiday as a single day where I dont really care how many calories i eat that day (probably a poor choice). I think from now on,though i still wont be wrapped so tightly around what i eat, I'm going to make sure I stay within my one plates limits. I always have to try EVERYTHING , but i think i'll try LESS of Everything... And somehow at dessert time i think im going to have to try to pick one and only one dessert ...

I did pretty well, kept it to one plate, reasonable serving sizes of the bad stuff and loaded up on the vegetable dishes. My mom tried to use mainly healthy recipes too so that helped.

well I lost 2.5 pounds this week so I think I did good. I ate salad and lots of veggies. I actually ate before i got to my sisters. Hence I wouldn't binge. I bought over 100 calorie packs of jello with cool whip on top. I am so happy its over. Here comes Christmas soon.
