Before beginning my journey I bought the Alli starter kit.

I haven't even opened the bottle. Total waste of money.

If you are a stay at home mom/dad or work from home or something where you could go a bit with only making short trips from home, then I could see people being attracted to it.

If someone sells a product and says "You will get the results you want with just taking my product and not doing or changing anything else" people will buy it and use it.

I use Alli with no problems. I don't need to bring a change of clothes, an extra pair of underwear.. nothing. You only have those 'problems' if you continue to eat high fat foods. But if you eat healthy meals, fairly low in fat, etc.. you will never have a "leak" as its been said.

hows come you don't just not eat fatty foods and eat healthy and not take alli? Seems to me the risk of maybe crapping ur pants would be a big enough detterent for me not to buy it and maybe just commit to eating a little better and going for a walk every now and then?

I do eat a healthier diet and I do go to the gym.. at least 4 times a week, sometimes 5.. even if its just to walk on the treadmill or doing something more intensive. But like I said, because I do eat a healither diet, I never have 'leakage' - the idea of alli is.. you eat something that has, just say.. 8 grams of fat in it.. Alli will keep your body from breaking down about a quarter of that. But no, that isn't going to turn into leakage.

From what I understand, after speaking with those who took Alli without changing their diets, if you were to eat a grease covered pizza or a batch of hot wings while taking Alli, you will have oil in the toilet [not crapping your pants.. but it does make you have to go.. but no, you won't be running for a toilet [unless you ate something with an extremely high fat content]]. But no one I have spoken to has 'crapped their pants' but they do say if you don't eat healthy as well, you will see oil in the toilet after you do use the restroom.

I know it isn't for everyone but as someone who uses it [without having the mentioned side effects] I figured I'd just put in my 2 cents while everyone else, who does eat healthy and exercises, believes that if you use this product, you will shit yourself. The page itself even says "Because of the way in which alli works, eating meals with too much fat may cause side effects known as treatment effects."

Oh Boy.

I took it once when it first came out as part of my diet and exercise plan that was already in place and working. I STOPPED losing weight the week I took it. I'm convinced it wasn't a plateau because I started taking it not long after I started dieting and exercising. Got discouraged and gave up all together.

Tried it again when 2 family members gave me their bottles. I was losing weight and exercising/eating right. Started taking it and STOPPED losing weight again. I went off it and began losing weight again a few weeks after. Again, I'm not an expert but I'm convinced it wasn't a plateau because I had only lost 5 or so lbs when I first started taking it and I started losing weight when I stopped shortly after even though I was doing everything the same.

I don't understand why everyone thinks fat is this terrible thing. Fat doesn't make you fat any more than protein or carbs do. Excess calories make you fat, it doesn't matter what they're from. Fat helps give you the "I'm full" feeling, which is why those "diet" frozen meals don't fill you up as much as a home made meal with the same amount of calories and no "reduced fat" or "fat free" ingredients. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat is GOOD for you! I don't like how alli blindly inhibits fat absorption because your body needs good fats.

Do yourself and you wallet a favor and don't buy alli, spend the money on a new pair of running sneakers or something else that will encourage you to get out and exercise more
