I always see commercials and I have heard women talking about the product Alli. I probably would never use the product, but I was just curious how many of you have tried it. And what was the outcome?
I've never personally used it, but I know people who have and it wasn't pretty...haha.
Let's just say anything that went into their mouth that was bad, came out with vengeance twice as bad in the other end.
For god sakes, the pamphlet says to wear dark clothing, that's a sign enough that there is trouble ahead.
Alli doesnt help unless it somehow tricks your mind that you cant eat greasy food or else you're doomed to s**t your brains out. Too bad it's as easy to eat the foods as to not take the pill for the adverse effects.
Its like those chips that used to be out that contained the warning: May cause anal leakage!
I suppose it could be good for some in a behavior modification sense. If you take the pills, for the love of DOG don't eat greasy foods or you'll shit yourself. That'd make one afraid to even fart I'm thinking.
I wish I could remember where I read it, but last year there was a study that came out. The lab that did it used two control groups: One with diet and exercise alone. The other with diet, exercise, and Alli. It was a year long study and at the end of the year, the Alli group only averaged an extra 5lb loss for the total year.
A friend of mine tried Alli (even though I told her not to!) and she had "leakage" problems. And she followed a strict diet...
Alli is an absolute waste of money. Good old fashioned diet and exercise will do you just fine as long as you actually do it. There is no such thing as a miracle diet pill. All diet pills/patches/supps are a crock of doody.
Lay's WOW Chips were fat freepotato chips produced by Frito-Lay, containing olestra. They were first introduced in 1998. Although initially popular, charting sales of $400 million in their first year, sales dropped to $200 million by 2000. This was largely due to the possibility of unpleasant side effects (including stomach cramps, anal leakage and diarrhea), warnings of which were required to be included on the packaging. In 2003, the FDA no longer required the warning, as modifications had all but eliminated the risks. Around the same time, the WOW brand was renamed to "Light
they had a bizarre aftertaste but when you're used to Sweet and Low and Equal you can get used to any after taste I suppose...
I never even attempted the Light Brand Lays because it had the Olestra aka Anal Leakage secret ingredient. Now that it says it's modified I might just risk it lol. I <3 chips more than anything

The things with products like Alli and all is they are not a solution. Even if you lost weight on it, if you haven't changed your diet and lifestyle its pointless. THe weights coming back.
If you are doing everything else right, skip the possibility of making a stain down the back of your pants.
If you've ever had a stomach virus that had the unpleasant side effect of diarhea, think of the anxiety it caused if you had to leave the house and started to get the gurgles.
