I think the best way to lose cellulite is exercise. Since i started my diet, most of my "problem areas" of it have dissapeared just from swimming and going to the gym (mind you i go almost everyday). Although im still carrying a lot of fat there is minimal cellulite these days!
However, i have skinny skinny friends who are burdened with it! No matter how much they exercise. I suppose it must depend on the individual's body
which is the best exercise to lose weight and get rid of cellulite?
Hiya everyone, Im a bit new to all this and was wondering what is the best exercise to aid my weight loss and help get rid of my cellulite. I tried running for a while...but....it hurt my knee....is walking just as good?? Any advice would be welcome!! Mandie xx
I'm not an expert... but I think walking would be perfect for you. Doing anything that hurts you can do some real damage, plus you're not going to want to keep it up if it hurts! For me, I'm walking now, but might try running when I get down below 200 pounds (so it's not so hard on my joints). Let your body tell you what you can do. You want to push a bit, but not hurt yourself.
Hi everyone, does anyone know some good weighs to help get rid of cellulite. Ive joined weight watchers...so hopefully as I lose weight this will help....im also trying to drink lots of water and to do more exercise...I did try body brushing...but...this just made my skin sore (although I was doing it very lightly)....I would love to hear other peoples tips. Mandie xx
I have read that the very best way to take care of cellulite is (wait for it) of course to lose extra fat but also to do lower bodyexercises with WEIGHTS to smooth things out. I think I've read thats THE most effective way.
There are no specific exercises to target fat in any specific area, which means we can't do a specific exercise to get rid of cellulite. You can, however, reduce your overall body fat percentage by good diet and exercise (including strength training), which, in turn, usually reduces cellulite.
Or you can spend your money on creams that reduce cellulite. I imagine they are right next to all the other fantasy creams out there, you know, like the "make your boobies really big creams" and such.
Everybody has connective tissue that separates fat cells into compartments. While men tend to have horizontal or crisscross patterns to those compartments, women’s compartments have a honeycomb appearance, giving fat a greater chance to protrude or bulge, hence the cottage-cheese effect.
As a result, women are more likely to develop cellulite than men, mainly around the hips and thighs. However, men can develop the condition, too. Although cellulite becomes more noticeable with age, largely because the skin gets thinner over time, it generally strikes individuals in their 30s.
Of course, not everybody will develop cellulite in their lifetime. That’s because genetics determines where your fat cells are and how many fat cells you have. Activity level is another crucial factor associated with cellulite. If you exercise regularly, you’ll decrease your odds of developing cellulite, or if you do, the dimpled look won’t be quite as pronounced.
To have a body wihout any problem is the aim for every one but how can we have that if we have cellulite. I think it is a great problem that makes our body ugly. most of areas that are affected by cellulite can be found in thighs and sometimes in arms. If any one here had this problem and could overcome it successfully please tell us about her story with cellulite.
Cellulite is nothing but subcutaneous fat, although some people with low body fat percentage can have it, too. There is no "cure" for it, other than general lowering of body fat percentage, since "spot reducing" is a myth and external solutions have not proven effective.
As for having a body without any problems, well, all of our bodies have problems! The best we can do is minimize them.
I am 29 years old, 5'5" and 143 lbs. I have cellulite on the fronts of my legs and I am trying to get rid of it. I have lost 16lbs so far and am trying to get to between 130-135 lbs. Does anyone think this will help my cellulite to go away. I have been walking and steadily losing weight, but I just can't seem to get this cellulite to go away. I am a pear shaped girl and so I hold most of my weight in my legs and hips but I just really want this to go away. Please advise. Thanks, Tuffy
Hi. I know I haven't written for a while. I was doing well, then went home from school for 3.5 weeks and gained about 8 pounds. Now I'm back on track. Although I'm not back down to where I was before I left for break, I'm on my way and I want to keep going after I get back there. My goal is 125 by the end of April.
I'm doing cardio (walking and running mostly), resistance training (only bodyweight exercises because they're what I like), and gymnastics twice a week. I'm losing weight and inches, but I've started noticing cellulite on my butt and the back of my upper thighs. I'm getting stronger there (it feels tighter) so I don't know why this is happening. anyone know why? or what I should do?
For people who have had cellulite before you lost weight::
Did you lose your cellulite?
If not, has it stayed the same? To what level has your cellulite changed?
I would appreciate any tips on losing cellulite besides diet and exercise-- I'm currently doing both.
