I have the same problem with cellulite. Have you ever heard of MicroMassage Magic. It's a material that massages your skin when you move. They have Panties or Pantyhose, various styles. The product line is from a European company - I think - but you can get more info and order it online at http://www.azzurra-usa.com. I have the Panty and the Fitness Panty (which due to my lack of exercise spends most its time in the closet) and I really like them a lot and they do help.

Rep Power: 95 | | yes they are - only thing is that they are not cheap and you need more than one if you want to wear them continuously. So there is a bit of an expense to start, but it's worth it. They just make you feel good too

Rep Power: 0 | | After reading your thread I did some quick research on-line to try and find a good definition of what cellulite is and I came across this web-site. Maybe it will help. www.diet-i.com/weight_loss/cellulite.htm It gives you a really good description and somethings you can try to help reduce the apperance of cellulite. Although there is no proven cure to get rid of it, so please don't waist your hard earned money on things claiming to get rid of cellulite. Not to say that one may have worked for someone. But those things claiming to massage your cellulite away are sooo expensive and might not give you the same results as they did someone else. Save your hard earned money for a treat for yourself after you reach your next goal. Use it as an insentive to motivate you. Good luck and I hope that web-site helps you. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Dreaded Cellulite... OKay... you guys helped calm me when I had my wedding dress fiasco, so I figured you could help me out with this.
Today's my 19th birthday. Everything's going great. My marriage is wonderful, I just got a new puppy...and heck, I may have even decided on a career!!
But...I was looking in the mirror the other day and realized that since I've gotten married, I've put on a few pounds. (But hey, my hubby has too, so don't look at me!!) Anyhow...I'm 5'8" and weigh about 158. I'm not fat...just have some problem areas...(thighs and stomach). To my horrific suprise, I noticed that I indeed ... have cellulite (gasp!).
(Talk about embarrassing! How can I ever go to the lake again? I just wonder how long it's been there!! )
Well....I've accepted the fact that I have it....now I want to concentrate on losing it....(if possible). What exactly is the best way to do this? Tons of cardio (by the way...cardio IS NOT my strong point) or just like squats and stuff? I also noticed a bit of cellulite coming up on my stomach since I quit doing crunches. Also...stretch marks have come up on my inner thighs. (I can't believe I'm telling you guys this LOL )
Please help me get rid of this!! I want to look and feel great about myself. I'm open to any and all advice!! Thanks a million!!

Rep Power: 0 | | congrats on the wedding/career/puppy lol
hmm you cant spot reduce to get rid of cellulite, its all about the diet and exercise, if you do cardio it will reduce the fat stores that are creating the look of the cellulite. you also need to do resistance type exercise. it boosts your metabolism and gives you muscle "tone". being carefull of the cals and eating healthy. strech marks not much you can do about, they have a laser now that may be able to reduce the apearance of them, but i think its pretty expensive....hope this helps

Rep Power: 3742 | | | Smiley is right... there isnt much you can do topically..unfortunately it takes some blood sweat & tears..well maybe not the blood unless your working out w/ Vince :-D
I would definetely try to work on the inside out...not the other way around..it just doesnt work efficiently that way & you'll feel way better!

Rep Power: 0 | | LOL Well..thanks for the advice.
What sort of exercises should I start out doing? Cardio galore and cut down on eating a bit?
Let me know...I was never one who was able to keep a healthy diet.
I either would eat waaay to much and not exercise at all...or become obsessive (when I was anorexic and bulimic) and end up hurting myself. I just want to be healty.
Thanks for the help and support! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Well, it's hard. Creams don't work, even though cellulite is close to the skin surface (which is why you see it) than other fat, it would be very difficlut for a cream to penetrate that deep.
Sometimes it's hereditary as well.
The best way to AVOID it is through healthy eating, toning and good exercise.
What seems to "hide the apperance" is also tanning..BUT I don't recommend tannig either!
Toning up those areas (although there's no such thing as spot reduction) will also help but if you have it you probably won't see it disappear completely. |

I've heard that drinking lots of water can help with cellulite - only to minimalize it slightly... drinking lots of water is good for numerous things though so I recommend it either way. There are some creams that do effectively tighten up the skin if used properly, while they won't get rid of the cellulite they do help the appearance of the skin. Toning your body will also help. |

i just read a home remdie that i what to try
warm used coffee grounds
rub it on the areas that you need to do(in the shower)
let it sit for 15min
or rub the grounds on wrap the area in saran wrap and roll with a rolling pin
than wash off
do it as often a you want
they do sell a caffine patch for this but this is much cheaper!
cant wait to try it
good luck | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
