Help Please

Dear Members,

I am a final year student Studying Product Design in England. For my final year project I have chosen Health as a topic, as part of this topic this includes Healthy Eating.

I myself have about 7 years of getting in shape then loosing it and needing to diet and work out again. I also know for a lot of people it is a lifestyle change, so I am very interested in your experiences, for example what challenges do you personally face when it comes to healthy eating and weight management? Thank you in advances for any help.

Kind Regards
Richard Bowen

I think my biggest challange is money. Buying fresh produce and lean meats gets very costly sometimes, especially in the winter. Also, I'm very lazy most days. Sometimes I have no motivation to workout.

I would agree with mylee, good food can be expensive! And that makes me really mad. It's as if there is a conspiracy to keep everyone chubby!
My boyfriend always says he would like to eat healthier but when he's in a bit of a rush to make dinner, he just makes something he knows how to make (aka: something not so healthy!)
I personally am finding eating healthier to be quite a big task because I never really learned to cook much as a kid. I had no interest in cooking at all, and nobody showed me. But now I find it very frustrating because many recipes don't explain all the basics. I'm 24 years old and I just learned to saute vegetables!

So to sum up...
Eating healthy can be:
-Expensive
-Time consuming
-Difficult to keep up when busy
-A pain in the butt if you're still learning lots of the basics of cooking and food prep!

Hope that helps a bit ^_^

My biggest problem is emotional eating. That leads to a self-destructive cycle. I feel bad about myself, then don't want to go to gym, then eat more bad food because of my bad choices. It is a struggle, but I'm trying to reduce stress so that it does not become a major issue.

Just have to keep up going to the gym. That seems the catalyst for me that keeps things on track.

My biggest problem is I consume more calories than I need for energy, and it causes me to gain fat.
