Rewards - Yes or No?

Just curious what everyone else uses as rewards and what you reward yourself -for- (such as fitting into a certain size, losing a certain amount of weight, or not missing a workout for a month straight)

I think I need to find smaller, cheaper rewards since I'm a student and trying not to spend a ton of money! All my plans revolve around things that are a bit more than I should be spending all the time... but they are also things like getting my hair done that makes me look and feel way sexier, and that goes right along with weightloss right!? (And I guess that's something I would want to do whether I was trying to lose weight or not... same with my "buying a Halloween" costume as a reward idea...)

Just curious what other people do, maybe I can steal some of your cheaper ideas haha

(Also, I did a search for this topic and found a post just like this in the Cohen's forum... but I don't go in there so I was hoping it'd be okay to have this post here for other non-Cohen's people to see?)

I posted somewhere a list of the things I reward myself with. Now I can't find it!

For me, the big thing is moving away from food as a reward - it's silly but for a long time I'd think "god, I lost weight - I can have a piece of cake!" Talk about counter productive, huh?

When I lost my first 50 lbs I got a tattoo - that was a biggie for me.
When I lost 70 lbs I had to buy all new clothes - so that was kind of a reward, but also a necessity.

But for little achievements I do things like:
a pedicure or manicure
a new bottle of bubble bath or shower gel (I'm addicted to Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom scent)
a book
some kind of decor item for my house (my project this year has been to make my house look more like home and less like I just moved in)
a new cooking item or ingredient I've been wanting to try
a movie at the movie theater
a new app for my phone
a plant for my desk or my house
a trip to Ikea (even if I don't buy anything! )

For me, it is doing some new challenging physical activity that my body would not have been capable of before.

What? It feels like a reward to me....

Hey I rewarded myself with a bicycle about a month ago. Nothing wrong with rewarding yourself with physical activity or things that encourage physical activity!

I became addicted to buying nice clothes in charity shops. You could afford to treat yourself to new outfits all the time as your body changed shape.

A good cause benefits and you keep wearing clothes that fit well all the way down - where it would cost a fortune to buy lots of brand new outfits every month just to have something to wear that actually fits.

Then the following month when you are another size smaller you can send them back to the charity shop and the good cause benefits all over again...

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Kara: It is a bit hard to not instantly think of food as a reward...such a bad habit! I'm just waiting for raspberries to come back in season... fresh raspberries to me are the best treat/snack/dessert/whatever haha
I can't wait till I need to buy all new clothes! That'll be quite a nice reward.
Thank you for all your little ideas! ^_^

Cord: That's pretty cool! I was thinking of signing myself up for some sort of fun fitness class. Spice things up, keep things interesting, and see what I can do!

Omega: I love buying clothes in used shops! I already do that...but just not enough and not since I've started losing weight. So thank you for the reminder haha I recently went to one of the used shops but that was strictly to look for Halloween costumes haha ^_^;
Also, my Gramma said if I lost a "bit more weight" she would buy me a nice skirt! I loooove skirts ^.^
