Jeans?

Okay.

It's getting colder outside, and my stretchy boy basketball shorts aren't going to cut it anymore.

I'm so frustrated.

My pants dont keep me warm, they are ALL stretchy and thin.and i only have a few pairs.

well, where im getting to is.

I have a lot of extra skin, and the skin does not fit properly in jeans.
it's very painful ,and very uncomfortable.
I have the "skin flab" And when I put jeans on,the crotch seam HURTS and cuts into me. not to mention the flap by the belly button ( hidden belly button ) will go over the jeans. and when i sit, everything is either pushed down under the jeans. or push up and make a uncomfortable and unattractive roll.

Does anyone have this similar problem?

What jeans do you recommend, or what opinions or thoughts or ideas do you have.

I tried on a pair of riders by lee, yesterday, and they were a size 8. They were snugg around the waist. REALLY baggy around the butt and thighs. "Im confused on what to buy. And I didnt try the sitdown method of seeing how they feel. i was in a hurry, and ive really lost faith, every jeans i have ever bought since i lost weight have upset me, and made me want to cry.

Dammit! I HAVE WORKED HARD AS HECK TO GET TO WHERE I AM. CANT I ATLEAST HAVE A NICE PAIR OF COMFORTABLE SEXY JEANS?!

I actually love Wal mart Jeans they are the LEI brand they sell. At First I bought them because they where cheap I was going threw jeans so fast because of the extra weight i carried. But i really love them They are the Dark "Ashley" Jeans like $18.00 they are nice smaller flare jeans and they are stretchy and fit really good. Since Wal mart has a great return policy try them out.

When I was still bigger (as I started smaller I don't have the skin problem so I cannot relate fully, but just something that crossed my mind) and jeans would be painful because they cut into my tummy, my upper thighs, etc... I found stretchy cord trousers very comfortable. They are warm and in black at least they look fine, plus when sitting, bending, etc, they stretch and do not cut. And stretchy trousers just generally are mroe comfortable than rigid jeans (though I love me my jeans... but got my first proper pair when I was already at this current weigh, before I hated them).

I am not sure if they are in right now (and finding un-in clothes is always difficult), but maybe you can find some soft, stretchy cord trousers somewhere, they really are great!

I think if you really want a good pair of jeans, you may want to get out of your comfort zone in terms of brands and try some designer jeans.

Yes, they are expensive (although you can look at other stores like Loehman's or TJ Maxx that sometimes sell them), but they just FIT better.

And if you save your money you can buy a pair that can last you YEARS -- which is a good investment if you love them and wear them all the time.

You just have to try on different brands and different styles. I don't know your body shape, so I can't recommend a pair for you. I used to be more of an hourglass shape, although my waist has filled out since I gained some weight, so I'm more of a column shape now. I go for jeans with a straight leg, mid-rise, and dark rinse. I am currently wearing Lucky Brand jeans which I found for $50 on sale (they normally sell at $100 - $120). Over a period of 18 months, I found them on sale and bought the same style and now I have four pairs.

They are the best jeans I've owned.

But the best thing you can do is just go to a store like Macy's or something like that and just try on all the jeans they have. Find the best fit -- ask for help -- and figure out what your body looks like in them and if it's comfortable. You don't have to buy the jeans there. But if you find something that you really love, you can look for it online or decide to splurge and have a great pair of jeans for a long time to come -- especially if you've already reached your goal weight.

Well, the main problem i have with them is when i sit. I tried on a pair of size 8 petites... and they can even be a bit loose. but when i sit. my skin takes a toll and i have a very uncomfortable bulge and roll. And I mean its not tiny.

And i need to find jeans that go to the waist? higher tops. I can't even BEGIN to tell you how painful the hip huggers and ones are. oh my! I have the problem. with the way the skin lays on my stomach. that the jeans can be tight around my tummy, but Extremely baggy on my thighs and butt. I'm funny shaped... My waist is like a 28 and my lower abs / hips are like 35/37. ... and my thighs are like 19 inches... and my butt is small compares to my lower abs... so it's sooooo frustrating, i want a nice fit.. i got a size 8 in FADED GLORY jeans from walmart cause the return policy or whatever... they fit perfectly around my tush and thighs, but my waist was a diffferent story. they were TIGGGHHHTTTT sooooo tightttttt. But the Riders by Lee. size 8p. Fit perfectly ( when i stood) around my waist.

And example of how my skin is retarded....

when i sit it all squishes and widens and.. is gross.. lol!

And when i stand, it poofs. GONE! i would post pictures of my tummy and thighs.. but i would really like to spare you your vision.
also a good example of where my skin lays .

lower abdomine. ( ive lost weight since that photo. fyi. ) =D

My mother has a similar shape like you do -- she has a wide waist with excess skin (she lost weight over the last 15 years and it hasn't flatten out) -- and she found a great pair of DKNY jeans that fit her well in the stomach and her skinny skinny skinny legs/butt (she has none to speak of).

She's the kind of woman who used to get elastic at the waistband because she needed the extra space at the waist. She never thought she would find a pair of jeans that didn't have elastic that would fit her -- but we found one, at Macy's, after trying on a hundred pairs.

I'm still convinced you can find a pair in a large department store.

I am actually really close to your shape. I really personally like the Wal mart jeans that are the LEI brand. They are really stretchy and come up higher on the waist, they are darker jeans too. The other brands you mentioned I have never tried but the LEI jeans are all i wear and i Love them.

I would try some jeans that are made with a spandex so you get some stretch. ALL of my pants have a bit of spandex because they are sooooo comfy!

I got a pair that fit okay. They're Fashion Bug jeans. the new color cordinated jeans?

I wear a 7m RED. I bought them right after trying them on and i was SO excited... I mean. they fit really well... except i am still getting the baggage at the butt and thighs. BUT on the plus side, they are fiiiine around the waist!

Oh, and. They arent AS BAD around the butt. It's so weird with walmart jeans though....

I buy one pair. SIZE 10.... they're tight.... a different pair a 10 is too big.... a size 8 is too tight, but other ones im just right.

I've been trying walmart jeans though... return policy. except for the fact that..... i lost the reciept for the one pair i bought >.< they were perfect around my butt and thighs.... size 8. But then they were very tight around my tummy... but i wore them. they look fine with a hoodie! =P

As soon as I get home I throw on my pajama pants. I wish it was socially acceptable to wear them to all occasions. I'd get married in them if I could.

If the extra skin is really bothering you and causing discomfort and pain might want to check with your doctor and see if he can recommend a good surgeon. I know insurance sometimes covers the removal in certain situations.

Glad that you found a pair of jeans that fit better than the other ones you've tried. I would say keep trying different brands and fits because they all fit differently. I have a similar issue with the skin, having lost over 180 lbs, but still have more to lose, and am worried that the problem will only get worse. It's not the looks, but the feel of clothing pinching the loose skin at the crotch and waist, as you said. I started to wear a tank under my tops so that the pants don't hurt too much in the waist. Anyway, you look great, and should be so proud of what you've accomplished!

Aw, ange. You make me tear up. You're an amazing woman, and a sweetheart. You've lost more than me! And glad to know you understand the pains of jeans. Isn't it just SO annoying and painful. It drives me crazy. but im pretty good with the Fashionbug pants. you should even look into them. The worker actually recommended them to me as soon as I walked it. She was like " Oh, I'm going to say you're a size 7m RED." she hands me the jeans and I go straight to the fitting room. I actually felt like crying. Having extra skin really does bum me out from time to time. I mean, Ive come so far, I've worked so hard. And still yet. I can not comfortably fit into normal clothes! GRR!! =P I needa find a Girlfriend to go out shoppin' with. My boyfriend gets annoyed when I take "too long" in the stores.

I know what you mean Jeff. I would totally get married in all my comfortable pj's. I actually love to wear my Sponde bob PJ's. they look like aladin pants of MC hammer pants or whatever on me. because they are super duper big. they're 3x's. And where extremely tight when I got them as a present a few years ago. But now. they're elastic. so I have a little bit of difficulty wearing themsometimes, when they wanna fall off me. but they're as close to feeling naked as you can get. The fabric just flows around me. and theres no pinching or tuggin' of any kind. I wished I could wear those puppies EVERYWHERE. Lol... yeah. Sometimes I do.....= whistles = I'm fearing for their life though. they're getting pretty close to falling apart. hah. =D

I am looking to buy my boyfriend some jeans for christmas, but the jeans i am looking at are measured in a different scale. Usually she wears a 7-9 depending on the jean style. These jeans are from 22-29. How can i find the correct size of jeans without having him try them on. And how are boys jeans measured? I am looking at some RVCA jeans if that helps at all... Thanks.
