First day, is it an approriate plan??

hello
today was my first day of diet and exercise, my healthy lifestyle, that i am determine to follow until jan 2010.
ok so i posted my old diet plan and worked out that it was lacking certain things etc. so today is my first day of what i have gathered i should be doing to lose weight. i weigh 62kilos, i want to be below 55kilos by jan 2010.

day so far

3.6km jog
breakkie- zuchcinni and onion and tomato omelette (one egg)- 1000kj
Snack-bunch of grapes, low fat no sugar yoghurt.-800kj
Lunch-salad,advocado,low fat cheese wholemeal wrap. apple-1300kj
Snack-grapes and banana-600kj
weights and push ups, sit ups etc for bout 30min.
dinner- chicken wrap on wholemeal wrap bread- advocato, lettuce, beetroot, onion, mushroom, bbq sauce, low fat cheese and chicken. 2000kj approx- im guessing.
approx 5500kj.

also made a big effort to drink around 3litres of water today.

i wan to lose around 8kilos and am allowing about 2months to do so. what do u think about this in relation to my diet? is it possible?

should i have cheat days??

add ur opinions
thanks x

That looks pretty good, but I'd really encourage you to register with a site like fitday.com or thedailyplate.com and start tracking your food there. You'll learn more about your food and be better able to make your own decisions about what's healthy and what's not rather than having to ask others to validate your choices.

Also "cheat" days are up to you, but I'll tell you that I personally don't believe in "cheat" anything. After all ... who are you "cheating" on but yourself? If you want to have a free day or if you want to work a treat into your plan, that's something YOU have to decide if it's right for you. Some people can handle a treat now and then and enjoy it and some people find that they don't have the willpower to handle a treat and it turns into a free-for-all. Only you can decide where you stand on the matter and how you want to add those things into your plan.

I too am new to this forum and I agree with the last post about tracking what you eat and do for exercise. This will allow you to see for yourself what is working and what isn't.
About cheating...I personally would look for results first and try and establish a routine or way of eating that I could live with. After that if you choose to eat something that is very rich in calories, well, it is your decision, but remember, it's a bit like bailing water out of a boat... what ever you let in you are going have to bail out.
Good luck.
