Rep Power: 0 | | | i am really bad. I weigh myself in the morning, at night before bed and if I worked out I weigh myself after. but that being said if the number jumps up i know I have work to do the next day. i know that my night number is about 3 pounds more than my morning number so like last night it was 173.6 this morning was 170. i know this sounds like obsession but it is working for me.

Rep Power: 0 | | | I too have been weighing myself everyday, but taking my Friday number as my "official" number for the week. Yes, it fluctuates, but it keeps me aware of what's going on. Just make sure you tell yourself, when you're up from the day before, that some fluctuation is normal and don't let it get you down.

I found, especially in the beginning, that weighing myself everyday was great for my motivation and confidence. As I get closer to my goal and I am losing less per week, I do not find the daily trips to the scale quite as exciting. Sometimes I weigh in every other day or every third day, but for me it is still a good way to keep myself in check.
I think in my case there is a certain amount of fear that motivates me to keep a very close eye on my progress. The fear is that if I start to slide back into my old lifestyle, even a little, I may spiral out of control and gain the weight back. I have worked way too hard to let that happen, I am never going back. It is probably not necessary and I am probably overly obsessive about it but it has worked for me. Just my 2 cents

Just my 2 cents | i know what you mean about fear. I am just so hard on myself like last night for example I ate a HOt chilcken wrap with blue cheese in it. then my workout wasn't as intesive as I usually do so this morning there was a .5 pound weight gain. I plan to really work myself tonight.

Rep Power: 0 | | | the scale I weight myself every am and pm b/c that way i challange myself more towards the end of the week to loose the weight like workout harder, or eat less carbs. My weight and measure day is on sat am. I usually loose 1-2 pounds a week. I don't want more than that. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | i weigh myself in the morning, cause it keeps me more motivated then if i weigh in the afternoon...
i also heard its good to exercise in the morning too, so for best results you could exercise then weigh yourself and always be happy with the results... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | What time of day should I weigh myself? What time of day has the most accurate weight? I've been weighing myself in the morning because I'm always 1-2 pounds heavier before I go to bed?

Any other time of the day, what you ate, what you drank, whether you were exposed to heat, etc... can all influence your weight.
This said, it is important to track the trend in the range of your weight, not the individual figure from day to day. Due to numerous factors, body weight will fluctuate from day to day, but if you're dieting and exercising, the trend will be down.

Rep Power: 8 | | | The best thing to do is to either consistently weigh yourself the same time of day each day, you can pop those numbers into Excel or another spreadsheet and graph your progress to see an overall down trend... or you can just weigh yourself once a week at the same time.
The scale is accurate as long as it's calibrated, you weigh what you weigh, just know that can fluctuate. Your body is a system with many ins and outs.

Rep Power: 5 | | I always weigh myself just after I get up, after erm, bathroom... Gives me a gradual decline (Digital scales) So, that's my advice
A day won't make much difference, if you forget just wait until the next day, aslong as the trend is downwards anyways, there's no problem. |
