Im about to embark on a long term weight loss plan. I am very overweight at 17 and a half stone.
This will be a long process and I am not looking for a quick fix. What I need to know is the following. Although I am clearly overweight, because of my height and proportion I do not look as heavy as I am. I want to lose 21 pounds (a stone and a half) by December 11th for a special occasion. I do not think this is unrealistic as my starting weight is so high. What I want to know is will such a small weight loss make a difference in the way I look by this date or will no-one really notice until Ive lost a few stone?
Realistic weight loss is 1 percent of your total body weight a week... so don't push yourself too hard.. you will definitely get closer to your goal by then.
Idont rememeber where I got this from... but someone told me that every 20 lbs you shed a "layer"... and that layer is usually noticable.. especially if people don't see you every single day...
so I would say that 21 lbs would be noticable..
take your starting measurements to prove it to yourself and then your ending measurements and see the change.. you should also see a difference in how your clothes fit
