Rep Power: 21 | | | Drink a glass of skim milk, enjoy a glass of sugar free cocoa or eat a hard boiled egg. Anything with protein will help you feel full the rest of the night. |

Rep Power: 9 | | | For chocolate, there are different types of fudgicle bars I have seen, bryers makes an amazing one with 70 cals, there are also ones that are a bit smaller and are 40 cals don't remember the brand though. If you want carbs, i suggest rice cakes there are various flavours and are 35-40 cals. |

Rep Power: 17 | | I find that protein will keep you filled longer than carbs, so my late night meal is a PLANNED protein shake with a little bit of Peanut butter. I allow myself enough room in my defecit for this shake, and it keeps me full If its sweets im craving i'll toss in a banana and some strawberries instead of the peanut butter |

Rep Power: 14 | | When you first start dieting, late night hunger for me at least was the first thing i had to experience. I fought this by brushing my teeth and flossing really good. The minty flavor can ruin your appetite, but even when i still felt hungry, i drank water. After awhile, your body begins to get used to the way your dieting and you wont feel as hungry, but if you continue grabbing those lat night snacks, your body will never get used to how you want it. I believe in you, you can fight it. |

what do you guys to do counter those cravings? sometimes i try drinking water instead, but i live in a cold climate and i'd rather have something warm and comforting! lol...i get cold easily hehe |
oh man haha i remember in the begining late at nite id have a lean pocket or something cause i was starving(or at least my body thought so)but later on i added a late nite snack to my diet.which has been yogurt, whatever power bar i have on hand, and 90 calorie cheese for the past 8 months.and later on when those cravings return i fight them with sugar free hard candys like livesavers sours or ill chew gum and have ice cold water on hand(water does work).
if your problem is not fulling full after dinner what i started doing was adding a salad and side of fresh steamed veggies(easily done in the microwave i found out)to whatever i was eating(brown rice or whole grain rice works to) and it really helped me get full and take in plenty of fresh veg at the same time.id rather stuff myself with veggies and know its okay....than feel guilty for having gone and had fast food or junk food or something cause i didnt get full off my diet foods. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I know exactly how you feel in the evenings. I also have these cravings quite often in the evening. What I usually do then is preparing myself a lovely hot tea with some splenda for the sweetness. It is not as good as chocolate, but it is something like an alternative. And if the cravling gets too strong I just brush my teeth and go to bed... |

Rep Power: 20 | | I struggled with this myself, especially at the beginning of my weight loss journey.
#1. I planned a evening snack in my mean plan. Usually a sugar free pudding with lite cool whip, or a "Skinny Cow" ice cream- both these things fulfilled my chocolate fix and have protein to fill ya up.
#2. Often times, I WANTED a snack out of habit, not hunger. Getting thru the first few weeks trying to understand true hunger from habit took some effort, but now I generally only eat a snack after dinner if I'm truly hungry, except for Thursday nights I usually have air popped popcorn to eat while "my shows" are on.
One day at a time dear, and new healthier habits will form. And allow yourself a treat when needed- just be sure to COUNT it.
Good Luck! |

Good Luck! | And do you keep on losing weight although you are eating a sugar free pudding withlite cool whip in the evening? I can imagine that this snack really has an effect on your diet, hasn't it? Most people say that you you shouldn't eat anything after 6pm. But maybe that is just not true and I don't have to go to bed when the small apetite comes up and I can just grap a pudding like you do! :-) | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
