I usually allow myself a few extra little pieces of chocolate, or something. I might go a little overboard, but I keep track of all calories so that even with the treats, I don't eat more than what I burn.

I don't usually do anything differently when that time of the month comes around... although I do stop weighing myself until a few days after I finish up - I tend to gain 6-8lbs when I'm PMSing and it can get pretty discouraging when I'm dieting.

I TOTALLY went overboard today!

I was doing so good with my dieting & counting calories, but today with the stress of a meeting & a VERY cold day (for here anyway) a chocolate cupcake with the most lovely vanilla frosting & hot chocolate got the best of me! Did I mention my boss paid for them? Argh!

Now I am cranky, tired & beating myself up.

Tomorrow is a new day right? dang.

It's that time for me now, and it's really hard for me not to overeat. But I've been munching on ice cream and chocolate. Not too much.

I hate it cuz I get extra emotional and just wanna stay in bed and cry over nothing. Midol doesn't work. I feel REALLY heavy, even though I lost like 2lbs last week, I know its not fat. Just bloated, extra water. Gawd I hate it.

UGH!!! I feel your pain. EVERYTHING sucks during this time of the month. And everyone I have some medical issues involving my ovaries, and I am trying to convince my doctor to just remove them and let it be. I'm 28, have two precious kiddos, and have had my tubes tied due to other medical issues...so what purpose do the little bastards serve??? Nothing. Other than making me into a saber-toothed witch each month. The kicker is that my Dr. is worried about the effects of menopause on me emotionally...big fat hairy deal! At least then I'll get the effer over with in one big lump, and NEVER have to have PMS again! No more period-related migraines, no more freak-binges, no more hysterical mood swings...ahhhhh, sounds like a permanent vacation

I would go with everyone else in this post and allow yourself a few treats during your "special" time. I also try to exercise most of the days I'm on my period, because it helps me alleviate cramps and fatigue and inspires me to eat better.

Our bodies actually require about 4% more calories during this time for us women, thats why we crave things! Some months are worse then others sometimes I feel I have a bottomless pit and constantly hungry or I want chocolate! I give in and allow my cravings within moderation, and stay off that scale! Nothing like bringing you down when you get on it and it says you have gained weight!

Wow...I didn't know this happened. When I'm on mine, I actually get to feeling so sick once I couldn't keep anything at all down all day for more than a few minutes. I guess I should count myself lucky.

Ok girls, help me out here, what the heck is going on! AF arrived yesterday morning, but the scale is going down and my tummy looks flatter, lol. What gives -- is that possible or is the scale playing tricks? Weigh-ins as follows:
Monday -- 133.6
Tuesday -- 133.2
Wednesday -- 133.6
Thursday -- 132.8

Any ideas? Think this is for real or is my cycle finding new ways to torture/tease me?

I seem to lose easier during that time too, Jennay! Unless for some strange reason I have some major cravings for salt or chocolate, which have been pretty rare since I started dieting. I just want those things when I'm not having it.
