Something to increase metabolism?

I have thee slowest in the world. Is there anything that I don't have to go to a doctor (I have a traumatic past with physicals) to get? I've been downing green tea...I don't know if it's working. Thanks.

Oh, also, what's the best time to weigh-in?

Exercise is the best way to boost your metabolism.

The best time to weigh in is in the morning. You weigh less.

also eating very small meals regularly during the day can boost metabolism. i think they say 6 meals a day.
make sure that you eat breakfast (else body will go into starvation mode and hoard cals)
dont eat anything 3 hours before bedtime - gives your body chance to burn off some of it whilst your still active.
drink loads of water
good luck!

This is a great book that explains how to keep metabolism burning.

Weight train, adding muscle to your frame will boost your BMR.

"best" time to weigh in is any time of day as long as it's consistent. You'll usually weigh slightly more in the evening than the morning. Also if you can, weigh yourself in the nude to get a more accurate weight.

Remember when weighing, you should average out your weights for the past few days (at least 3) to get an idea of your "true" weight. If you had a salty dish the night before, for example, your body may retain a lot of water meaning your weight example is off.
Doing this also helps with recordkeeping, since you have to write them down and keep the log to do it right.
