Sushi Talk

I apologize if this is the wrong forum but my question deals with Sushi

What are people's opinion on it for low-calorie diets?

I am about 6'2 and 252 and I run/workout 3-4 times a week or I should say I started today but plan on doing that which I have in the past. Today I went and ate a california roll and crawfish roll and stuck to water the entire day.

My question is....how healthy or good are sushi rolls? Are having 2 rolls a good/bad/medium thing for a person looking to dump weight?

I dunno, I googled Sushi and came across a lot but some here seem to have a good idea of things.

I eat some raisen bran with skim milk for breakfast and just plan on making myself a roast beef sandwich with american cheese and maybe some pretzels tonight.

Thanks!

Sushi is the vinegared white rice, but in the US has become the catch all term for that branch of cuisine. The main complaint is the white rice as it is a refined simple carb. The sashimi, or raw fish, portion is quite healthy as it's a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.

California rolls are "fake" sushi, or amazingly Americanized. It's imitation crab (cooked and formed white fish), cucumber, avocado, and sometimes mayo. The mayo, avocado and white rice make it fairly calorie dense in comparison to traditional sushi and sashimi, so be aware.
