challenges/buddys

hi - new around here and was just wondering if anyone wanted to buddy up or start a bit of a challenge here on the UK bit . Really need some motivation to get my backside into gear.. been going to the gym regularly for the past few weeks but have seemed to have got into the frame of mind that as long as i set foot in a gym all that days calories are instilly wiped out lol! oh and had a total biscuit addiction recently.. I'm 38 and weigh (at the last count) 174 (i've changed my scales to just pounds as seeing the 12st all the time was just too depressing..)

looking to lose two stone all together but first off just want under 170..

Why would we want a UK challenge that excluded our many friends from other areas? There are always new challenges starting up in the challenges section that everyone can join in.

my apologies - wasn't meaning to cause any offense or exclude anyone.

That's alright. We all have to find our way around when we are new.

We have a great challenges section here. Every month there is some sort of monthly weight loss challenge. I know that my good friend Cord (from Canada) is just kicking off an exercise based challenge (MPH - where you log miles, weight in pounds and hours of different exercise). I have just finished running the summer shake-up challenge - if you check the rules at the start of the scoresheet thread you can see that it was a bit of a party game based on exercise and nutrition where I made a whole bunch of people jump through a lot of weight loss hoops....

I strongly recommend that everyone joins in the challenges. It is a great way of making friends and staying motivated through the next stage of the journey.

I rarely join in challenges these days since I am no longer trying to lose weight. I have to set up a weight maintenance points structure in my own challenges for me to be able to have something to play for...
