Tarazan is on a distinguished road
Colorado

I can't think of a better state to live in than Colorado to transition my lifestyle to a more healthy one.

My husband and I were driving up to Black Hawk this 4th of July morning for our annual wedding anniversary gambling fest and I passed these various sections of parked cars along the way. Cars by Clear Creek, cars by valleys, cars by mountains - all parked in little lots holding about 20 cars each. I asked my husband where the owners of these cars were and he said there were trails - hiking, biking, etc. It was 8:30 in the morning... on the way to Black Hawk.

I've been thinking all day since: I want to get into good enough shape to wake up early on a paid day off from work and choose to go for a ride, hike or run rather than gambling...

This time next year I hope to be there - I hope to see you other Coloradans there, too!

Tarazan

Good for you!

Colorado is awesome, for sure. I live and work in Westminster, and there are TONS of awesome trails out there, and if you go a few miles west (Coal Creek Canyon) you get tons of unused mountain trails as well.

I can even ride my bike from my house to work (about 2.5-3 miles each way), and am only on a road for about 2-3 minutes. After crossing a main street, a trail goes all the way back to my office!

Fantastic stuff. What part of Colorado?

I agree, Colorado is such a great place to live for all of this. Any person at Any age can appreciate the beauty and openness of the state that promotes health and being in touch with nature.
