Rep Power: 0 | | | Why Is It So Hard LOL Today I woke up late and I didn't wanna really go to the gym ( 1st day off in two weeks ) i'm not feeling to bad about it really I need a day off.
I had a few blue menu meals today ( they are so great and low in everything )
Right now i'm just starting this Dairy so I will tell you a bit about myself
Well i'm 21 years of age living in Canada... I'm also getting married to the most amazing man I have ever met ( but not till the weight comes off ) right now i'm off of work do to a car crash that happen over two years ago ( that's how bad it was still off work ) I put on over 100 lbs after the car crash from being on so many pills... So right now i'm working my butt off swimming 50 laps a day and sitting in the sauna.
The thing is I cant really do much walking since my knee was really hurt in the car crash ( so trying to get my legs back in shape right now ) but really the working out thing all I can do is swim.. I HOPE that is enough for right now... The hard thing is my eating... I JUST wanna eat all the darn time lol but I dont anymore but it's still hard...
So explain HOW DOD YOU DO IT lol |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Need To Lose Alot Of Weight? HELP ME Hello everyone.
I just started using this site lastnight. 1st off I just want to say this has got to be one of the best sites I have ever come across.
I really need some help with getting off the weight. I'm wrighting this asking if there are people out there that have lost alot of weight and tell how you did it. I just wanna say that I'm proud of each of you I don't know you but I have looked at alot of profiles and so many of you have done so well and are doing so well EVERYONE is doing well just being here. I'm exsited to be a member cause I think I need suport. I need people to talk to or I know I will stop.
I work out every day and I swim about 50 laps a day and sit in the sauna for around 30 min.
My starting weight was 342 now i'm 324 but the thing is I have stoped and I'm getting scared I just wanna know how you all have done it so far. I cant really walk well I was in a bad car crash and messed up my knee ( that's why I put on over 100 lbs ) part of the reason was pills I was on. Another thing is I was also 240 in high school ( me in the pic ) but I wouldnt mined being there right now. So I just would like to say thank you to everyone of you and please leave me some feed back on how you did so well for yourself and how long has it taken you THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH |

Rep Power: 26 | | First of all, congratulations on having survived thus far all that you've been through and are still going through. I can sympathize with you on the medication front. I gained 80 pounds up to 220 while on psychotropic drugs that made me eat plus the chronic stress of rebuilding a life, as you know. It is very difficult carrying that much weight but you will lose it. I stayed at 200 pounds for five years and am now losing the rest of it.
I have to tell you that this forum is the tool that is making it possible for me this time. I have learned so much in the three months I've been on. It was very hard getting started, slow, but now its almost EASY. I hope you read a lot and get pumped up.
I don't know if you 're in to counting calories, I use fitday.com, but you might gain a sense of control with greater knowledge of calorie expenditure. Multiply your weight in pounds x 15 to get your maintenance calories. If you eat 20% below this you will be in a deficit and lose weight. Doing this I am losing four pounds a month.
I totally know how drugs can make you ravenous. And carrot sticks don't cut it. I used to wake up with food in my comforter, date squares, pieces of cheese...cooking pasta in the middle of the night. Its a time in your life you are going through and IT WILL END. It will get better.
But if you are armed with some knowledge about calorie expenditure it will help.
Don't give up, you have a lot to celebrate and just KEEP ON CELEBRATING. Out with ALL the negative. Think positive. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Thank you ever so much for your message. I joined weight watchers but like you said its hard.. I did well on it but i'm a stress person I wanna make my boyfriend my friends and my fam happy and proud of me so I worked so hard that I would do so much like swim so much everyday for 3 h then sauna for 30 min and pretty much passing out so I said no more I will make them happy in the end but they are more upset that I have not been thinking about myself.. So its time for me to just think about me... My boyfriend is amazing and so understanding and I love it but my problem is getting upset and eating I have always been upset and stressed and went to food like you said.... Pizza for me late at night.. thats one step if I eat late at night NO MORE of that it's something like one point for me MAYBE... and thats not bad... insted of like 20 points for me... But I think I can do this... I know I can... It's just I have to lose so much it upsets me... But I know you have all worked so hard... So it makes me push knowing others have been here too |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hey Blue... I'm new to the site too. I just joined this afternoon actually. It really is a great site and I think one of the best tools you can come across is a place to vent or find motivation or just chat with people who are going through the same thing you are. I know I've been on the journey for some time now and with 20 lbs gone I'm ready for a renewal of my own motivation. Anyways, nice to meet you and have fun! We're all in this together now

Rep Power: 15 | | | It's not about how much you lose.... Hi there and welcome to the group!
You have done very well on your own, but now you will be able to get even more support and understanding from people who REALLY know what you are going through. This place is making the difference for me, and I look forward to people asking me in the future "How did you finally do it?" I will tell them with a wink and a smile, hard work, persistence and http://weight-loss.fitness.com. They will probably be a little confused about the last part, but they can read it and find out for themselves.
As for you my dear, you do have a long way to go to get to your goal, but I try to look at it a little differently. Instead of thinking about how much I have to lose, I instead think of how much I have to gain. Numbers on a scale are just a scientific measurement of how hard gravity pulls against us. Numbers tie us down and make us frustrated. Instead maybe look at the other side of the coin. You can swim 50 laps? Wow! I will bet you there are many here and even more "skinny" ones in the real world that can't do that, but wish they could. If you are anything like me, you are now opening yourself up to a community and bringing yourself forward to be seen and heard, instead of hiding in the corner and crying. I know too many people in the world who could never do that. For a long time in my life, that person was me. You are taking the first steps towards saving your own life, something millions of people around the world aren't able to do and their lives are ending early because of it.
Don't sweat the numbers for now. Make friends here, do lots of reading of diaries and helpful forums and do it with a smile. Then it doesn't matter what that awful scale or those numbers say. You are already a winner.
I would wish you luck, but I don't think luck has anything to do with this struggle. It is all about strength. Be strong, keep swimming, learn how to eat to live and most of all learn how to forget about those numbers on the scale forever.
I am not done, but I am doing it. And if I can do it, so can anyone, including you.
