we were gone for an hour and 45 minutes!! spent about 30 minutes walking (there and back) and the rest of the time playing tennis + a 10 minute break...while we're not tennis pros so we spent a lot of time running after the ball, it was still quite a work out in the heat!
Now it's cooling off and getting windy (looking forward to the storm they are predicting)
Feeling pretty good, drinking a ridiculous amount of water and planning on hitting Sobey's to buy some fresh veggies later...
Just started raining
Ciao

uh oh - ate a TV Dinner :S
640 calories (baked turkey, green beans, potatos, brownie)
I DID learn something though: Around 4pm-5pm I get super hungry super quickly and thats when I tend to begin the downwards spiral of eating for the day...Sooooo...I should have some ready made (yummy) food to eat. I did cook fish this morning that I planned for dinner, but 4pm rolled around and fish didn't sound so great...So tomorrow I plan to NOT eat junk in the afternoon, I will fight through it. lol
Bought lots of fresh fruits and veggies though too, the tv dinner was the only bad buy
Does anyone use the Dietpower program?? I really like it as a quick way to record calories and keep track of exercise, I also like getting a letter grade for the quality of my food (not just the quantity)
EDIT ADD IN:
Another 20 minute walk tonight Very impressed with myself - so I made some garlic tortilla lol

Okay, today I am having pizza for dinner (it's free at my first aid course) Soooo...I had 2 eggs and a piece of whole wheat bread for breakfast, and then it's all fruits and veggies until the pizza!! AND since I'll be at school, I HAVE to stick to it...becuase I only have what i bring.
Weighed in - still at 170 ARGH! Although it did look a bit in between...so hopefully tomorrow...but it's definitely frustrating.
Okay, need a shower, then a walk then school
Ciao

60 minutes walking
30 minutes of tennis - if you can call it that. My roomie can be irritating with her 'reasons' for everything. She tried playing with her left hand because she has tendinitis (she doesn't, I HAVE tendenitis from a factory job...she's just dumb) And she didn't understand why I'd rather just head home than play with someone who is hitting with their left hand - BECAUSE I HIT THE BALL and she just chases it. She also wouldn't move to hit the ball...so if I didn't hit RIGHT TO HER she'd just stare at it...grrr.
Anyway, I tried, lol.
I have like 6 hours of class tonight because I signed up for a first aid course...going to be a looooong afternoon. Glad I skipped out on the morning
Okay, going to go eat some fresh veggies YUM and maybe a green tea

lol, i just thought of something very mean.... Next time just ask her to stand still and bounce the ball off her head. It'll take the focus off of her hand and you'll get a fairly good game going with yourself.
Nah, just sounds like you need better competition! I have the same problem too when I play tennis or when I used to play tennis I should say. Maybe you should find a place with a serve machine.

lol, if my aim was better, I might try the bouncing off the head idea . She can be quite annoying sometimes - i think a lot of it is just that end of the year, I've spent a lot of time with her stuff. Two more days
had my pizza - two slices of Canadian and a vegitarian slice. YUM. Definitely full for the night, I also had some green beans, tomato slices, strawberries and cucumber slices - more out of boredom than hunger but fruits and veggies are good boredom snacks
Tomorrow I have to suffer through "well being" seminars, one of them is 25 minutes about sunscreen...what the heck? WEAR IT! That's all they need to say...lol
Keeping fingers crossed for that 169 weight...
~Nicole~
EDIT: ADD IN
Had a SMALL handful of party mix and then gave it away so I couldn't eat it anymore (I've had the big bag in the cupboard all week) lol. No more temptation. Am now drinking alcohol in flavoured water....(vodka water) lol...low cal alcoholic beverage, YUM
~nic~
PS: I'm taking a first aid course and they've changed SOOO Much it's really easy now! WOOHOO

Wow! You are walking like a crazy woman. Way to go!
I do the same thing in the afternoon as you do. I get really hungry all of a sudden and HAVE to eat something. Like you, that is usually when my eating goes downhill for the day. I am getting better about making healthier choices available for myself so I won't ruin the whole day by eating something I will regret later. Maybe we ought to check in on each others afternoon bingeing. You can hold me accountable and vice versa.
Hope you have a super day tomorrow. I gotta go get my rear on the elliptical.

Okay, I rarely lose weight the week before my period...which would be this week. BUT I also skipped my period last month (ON PURPOSE, I'm NOT pregnant, lol) so it could also have something to do with that? Because I've never done that before I just wanted to see how it worked (sort of planning in case it's that time during my wedding/honeymoon). So I'm thinking that could be playing a roll in my not losing a pound. I will find out soon enough.
Tiffany: Great idea! Lets keep tabs on eachother!! I am planning on having an "early dinner" (3pm) of fish and green beans because then I have to head to first aid and then a class party, and then I'm goint out for a beer. So Fish and green beans will be my "4" pm hunger.
I am also planning to make a super healthy choice when I got out for beer and order something healthy off the menu...but that might nto work out...
ALSO planning on going out for wing night tomorrow night: I know it sounds like a lot of "crashing" from the plan, but it's sort of a big "celebration" week of being done school forever...And while I may regret it, I feel that I owe it to myself to go out and not stress about calories for a night or two.
Okay...lol. Now I need to figure out how I will go walkign today...as it is raining. I might just brave through it and get wet. Today is day 8 of 21 to establish a good habit
Foods:
Milk - 6 ounces
Whole Wheat Toast with PB and banana
Water - 8 ounces
EDIT: ADD IN
Foods:
Green beans (a baggie full)
Fish (baked Haddock) (1 filet)
30 minute BRISK walk - on my own, so I could walk at a faster pace...and it was raining, lol.
Off to first aid! Bringing strawberries and tomatos for snacking ...maybe some more green beans

Well, you did better than me. We had a funeral today and I had all these errands to run. After the funeral someone brought a pecan pie by for us and I ate a piece UGH....one of the WORST things to eat. I have heard peacn pie has more fat in it than SEVERAL hamburgers. UGH
Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. You better watch me more carefull because you fell down on the job today j/k lol Wouldn't it be great if someone else really WAS responsible for our eating?
Sunshine's Diary - lets give it a shot Post #43 (permalink)
Awww, Tiffany, you can't be blamed for ONE piece of pie, we have to have some fun food sometimes .
I definitely could have done a better job this evenign though...went to starbucks...just checked out my calories online, 510 in a white chocolate Mocha, putting me about 200 cals over my daily limit...and that of course is not including the finger food snacks I had tonight at my class party. ALTHOUGH...I did a very good job of resisting. I had ONE piece of pumpernickle (WHICH I LOVE!), a few ketchup chips, and then a piece of cake,...but I couldn't say no, we just graduated! lol.
Packing up tonight/tomorrow am to head back to Cambridge (home). Can't wait, although hubby is already warning me that it's a bit messy :S. lol

never mind about that mocha hun -at least you'll know not to pick that one up next time.
keep on chomping through those frutis and veggies .. its so hard to turn to them as boredom snacks so congrats on doing that
Sunshine's Diary - lets give it a shot Post #45 (permalink)
Thanks Sophie! And I don't feel TOOO bad about the Starbucks becuase I don't go there too often, and now that I'm leaving London, there isn't a Starbucks so close...so less temptation
Probably will have a weird eating day, and most likely no walking although I will try...as we are packing up, going to school and then driving home...busy busy day.
