I'd like to lose about 25 pounds. However, my ultimate goal is to be happy with myself when I look in the mirror. I would like to be able to look at myself and see a girl with self-discipline, dedication, and long term success.
-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
I'd like to lose a great deal of weight before I go back to college in the fall. I have about three months, and I feel that I could put a considerable dent in my long term goal by then.
-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
I plan on decreasing my portion sizes. The job that I am working at over the summer has me on my feet for 5-8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I also plan on walking on the treadmill every evening. Currently when I walk on the treadmill, I walk roughly 90 minutes (six miles). I also would like to stop bingeing on junk food.
-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
I would hope that all of you could help me in my goals . One thing that motivates me is when others hold encourage me and hold me accountable for my actions. I'm hoping that logging my feelings will stop me from bingeing on junk food and motivate me to stay on track.
I feel that my goal is fairly realistic. I have lost weight and gained weight a numerous amount of times in my life. It's really a vicious cycle, and I'd like to be able to maintain my weight loss. Stress generally triggers my binges, and I'd like to find other venues to relieve my stress than eating.
-- When will you start?
I will start, right now
And I hope you will all take the journey with me.
Thank you all so much!

Alright! So after a day of stuffing my face with ice cream (which is really bad for me since I'm lactose intolerant), I've decided that I'm a very goal oriented person. Thus, I'm going to set weekly goals for myself, and hopefully fullfill as many as I can.
For the week of Sunday June 3 to Sunday June 10, my goals are to:
drink at least 8 glasses of water every day
walk on the treadmill every day (preferably 6 miles, but not required)
If you're just started doing exercises, try to do them every 48 hours ( the muscles need that time frame to recover after they were exercised ).In the future, when your muscles are used to this workout, you can do the exercises on a daily basis.

Thanks for the input, guys I really appreciate it.
Today is Sunday June 3, 2007. My weight this morning was 132 lbs.
I'm working from 10 AM - 3 PM, which is a good five hours on my feet. I'm glad for it, too. I do plan to come home and walk on the treadmill. So far, for breakfast, I've eaten a bowl of kashi and some soymilk (240 cals).
I'm ready to begin!
