Here we go again!!!

Well I didnt do well with my last journal, after my move I just fell off completely.
Since then I resorted back to no eating any meat and trying to control my portions.
I know my problem is over eating and eating because I am bored.I really cant wait to meet some people.
I was doing so good in April and may then I moved and just fell off.
After my scale broke I just went wild and ate everything in sight it seems.
My oldest son will be starting preschool in the next few weeks so it will be even easier for me to eat healthier when I have a little time to plan out my meals. My baby is almost 6 months so I am hoping as he starts solids I will hopefully start to lose some of this baby weight.

Here are a few pics of me

A month before I became pregnant with my first in april 2004

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ller/56348.jpg
I was about 140 pounds which is awesome on my 5'9 frame.

Here I am on april 22 when I decided i need to do something about my body and health-I belive i was about 85 Kilos at this point during my pregnancy I got up to almost 100 kilos so I did loose a good amount but I am still overweight.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...22ndside-1.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...2ndfront-1.jpg

Here I am on May 10 I started to count calories when I could and it really did help that I threw in a little exercise when I could and I got down to about 81 Kilos.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...y10hside-1.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...y10front-1.jpg
As of today I am 80kilos and I really want to lose this weight I am so motivated at this point I just need some support and this site seems to be the best thing for me.

I am going to try to get in at least 30 minutes excercise a day I usually go walking everyday for over an hour with the kids but I dont really count that because thats what i usually do.
So hopefully I will be able to look back in some months and feel good and see some success.

Today was a great day for excercise!I have been out of the house since 10am and we just arrived home about 15minutes ago and its almost 11pm. I took some me time out and went shopping found a few things in the city and I was happy to notice size 12s are now fitting me slightly big.I cant wait to get back to my single digit clothing.
We then went to an annual city fest with the kids and some friends where we walked and walked and walked some more-I kinda wish i carried my baby the entire time now but whatever-
I didnt get too much in today eating but I am sure it added up anyways.I had a portion of mushrooms in tzaziki with a brotchen. I also had potatoe augratin for dinner and a banana milk shake( should have left that alone but whatever)
Tomorrow is sunday I am looking forward to great things this week.
I was bummed though-we went to this store where they had womens nike running shoes for 33 euros on sale not cute but great for running. I have been having the urge to go running but no running shoes has kept me from attempting. So we get to the register and the shoes werent ring up with a price. So we wait for a price check and waited until my baby started wailing i was like forget it, I guess I will get them on monday.Tomorrow I have to go to a birthday party it shouldnt be so tempting since I dont eat meat and I really do not like german cake because they usually have some sort of cream or taste like bread IMO. I will try to go out walking in the morning though.I fogot to weigh myself today I am hoping to lose at least 1 pound this week.

Omg I cant believe that I am down to 79 kilos I thought the 70s were never going to get here!
I am hoping that I will stay motivated and seeing the numbers drops is really the biggest motivation for me.
So far I have had breakfast and luch
Breakfast was a protein shake with banana soy milk and some musli
Lunch was potatoes with celery cheese and tzakiki
snack Power bar
I am also trying to remember my water as the day goes by.
I decided to not log what I eat into fit day for now it just make everything seem like a job sometimes.I havent been using it the past 2 weeks and I have gone down about 6 pounds since then so things arent too bad without it.

I went to a birthday party yesterday but I was able to keep myself better undercontrol since there really wasnt anything there-I did have a CAB cola and beer drink but whatever it not that earth shattering a a few small pieces of marmor cake.Lucky for me the food they had was full of meat and the other cakes were full of cream 2 things I dont eat.
I am going to get some running shoes today and tomorrow I will start running- I want to go really early in the morning lik 530-6am that way I can come back home stretch a bit just in time for my kids to roll out of bed looking for me.
I did go walking yesterday for about an hour but not at the intensity I should have but I think I will try to get on my excercise bike and ride a little.Dh says he is going to start working out with me I wont hold my breath, but it would do him some good!

congrats on the progress you've made so far! I know what you mean about not having as much time to plan out actual meals because of your kids. I've had to resort to mainly healthy snacking for most of the day. I get my actual meals in before my oldest wakes up, durring her nap, and after my husband comes home. and good for you for wanting to go running. personally I don't enjoy running, but it's great exersize. I hope that store still has the shoes you were wanting.
Whereabouts in Germany are you by the way? My husband and I spent a couple weeks on Ramstein air base and in Landstuhl a couple years ago. absolutely gorgeous out there in the summer!

I am in wiesbaden geramany I think its about 1 hour and ahalf away from ramstein.

I got my sneakers yesterday afternoon not in the color I wanted thanks to my large feet-I swear my feet has grown a size and a half since i have had kids.
I got back from running an hour ago I and I feel great!
I ran for 40 minutes I really didnt think I was going to be able to go that long I was sure i was going to pass out by the time I got to the corner of my house-LOL
I am going to try to run every other day but on the mornings I do not run I will walk for an hour.
I kinda over ate last night-I bought some turkish cheese spead.s and fladenbrot and I ate a little too much.....But when I went on the scale I am still down half a kilo-I know I might start to gain once i start running more but it will be muscle so it wont be so bad.
I am so proud of myself i really did not think I was going to get up after 6 and go running since it was a rough night with the kids but I did I feel so empowered

You sound like you are doing great, Rimay! I have heard other people say their feet grew after kids as well. Congrats on all your weight loss so far!

Why are you giving up meat? Is it just for losing weight? Is it for health reasons?

congrats on the amazing run! I couldn't do it. I know I'd fall down dead if I tried running past the end of my street. and I know what you mean by your feet changing after kids. I had the most comfortable pair of sneakers, and now they pinch my toes and just generally don't fit. all of my shoes are fitting a little different. I guess it just means I'll have to go shoe shopping in October (we're visiting family for a month) while we're in the states. oh my husband is going to hate that!!
Bravo for getting up and getting going! isn't that empowered feeling great!!

Feuer, I am giving up meat because I just dont have the taste for it and its been like that for while plus when I ate meat I always made bad choices in food. I also went to the ''bathroom'' at most 1 time a week-since I havent eaten meat I go to the bathroom everyday!!
I also feel alot healthier and I now look back and think why did I really start eating meat again-I was a vegetarian for a few years about 4 years ago so its not really anything new to me.I now have learned to enjoy my food and I am open to trying new dishes and veggies as long as they are meat free.
Thanks for stopping by my journal I really need the support!

So Its 730 am and I have already completed my workout for the morning-I decided to do ab work since my stomach is looking flabby and I need to try to get some definition going.I did 30 minutes of abs and about 10 minutes on my excercise bike before I got bored.
I planned on going out early to walk but the weather looks like it may be good today so I will go on an extra long walk with the kids.
Its wednesday so that means I wll be buying some fresh fruits and veggies at the farmers market.I need to get there early because the organic stand I like to go too sells the main things like apples, bananas and such really quick.I am trying to get in the best shape I can before the 5k on the 21st.I cant believe I actally signed up I really work great under pressure so its exactly what I need to keep me in line.

I am having such a craving right now for anything thats not in my house it seems. I am trying to fight it so I thought I would come on here and try to beat the feeling.
I have dont in the eating department today I had musli with soy milk for breakfast
Lunch was steamed rice with black bean garlic and chinese veggies

Dinner was rice with veggies and indian bean sauce
I am really having a hard time enjoying tofu-everyone says it has the taste of what ever its cooked in but to me it has an after taste and the texture freaks me out. I have realized I really do not need those meat substitues though because I am now enjoying eating my food without them.
I feel alot better now!!
I am going to drink some water and surf a llittle more then head to bead. I am going to try to run for an hour tomorrow morning well maybe 45minutes-LOL I will try to go around 6am because i hate to run and people are on the streets.

Hey you're doing a great job. You are beautiful and you have the perfect womanly shape! Good for you for sticking with the running and I'm sure you're going to be able to rock the 5k on the 21st.

Aww thanks lukewarm,Im blushing-LOL
Well I got up at 630 and went runing for 50 minutes I went a longer route than day berfore yesterday and I still had alot in me even after my sprint from the end of my block to my apartment door. I really feel great about what I am doing for myself.
I ran with music today and it seems to help alot more than just running listening to the cars go by.
I do need to get a sportbra though my breast were going every which way in this worn out sports bra that I have and since i am still breastfeeding I dont want them to strech out anymore than they already have-LOL
I guess I did about 4 miles give or take a little. I really need to eventually start speeding up a bit but its only my second day out and I have alot of time for that.
I am about to eat breakfast which will be a bowl of cantelopes and some green tea-I am not too hungry right now but I know with boredom comes the want to eat so I need to try to stay busy with the kiddos. This is the 3rd week of crappy weather and its really messing with my mood-I want to get out with the kids but its raining off and off and I can not risk myself or the kids getting sick.

HI Rimay,

I saw your post on the Running Thread and I thought to pop in here to see your diary.
Wow girl, you look so beautiful!! congrats on signing up for the 5K, I am sure you will do great!!.
I am also a vegetarian and try to shop only organic foods. We have a lot of meat substitutes here and i am guilty of liking them and using them quite often. One way I found tofu to be quite good : press out the water, slice it in 3, put some sauce on it, (chinese peanut sauce, barbeque sauce..etc.) and bake it in the oven for about 35-45 minutes. It is great in salads with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and such..
And also I came from Europe ( Hungary) which is not far away from Germany where you are.
I used to measure my weight in Kgs also but living in the States for a while made me adapt!!
And I am also a fellow runner. Well, jogger or fast walker, whichever we want to call it. I found Champion sports-bras to work well.
I admire your determination. Going to work out even when you had a rough night with the kids!! Go girl!! I could never do it!!
Hajni
