That is great that people are already noticing your weight loss. It's such a good feeling when people say that, isn't it? I swear, even though I've lost over 40lbs, I still don't hear it very often. It's kind of annoying, so I am thrilled whenever anyone notices. | If anyone was on my porch making out, I hope someone called the cops ! Oh boy , ya'll were waiting up for me huh ? read non-juicy details below *L* Quote:

-Sheryl | Oh I've seen you and your friend the zucchini! I'll have to bribe these guys with something else maybe *L*
Well ladies, I'm sorry to report I didn't go out with the next Mrs MidGaGuy ! No real juicy details either . As far as dates go , it was "ok" . I guess you could say it was a blind date as this was the first time we met face to face even though we have talked alot both on the phone and online. She was nice and we went to a lil Mexican place . I counted it as a cheat meal but I don't think I blew it too bad . It was hard to figure the calories using sparkpeople but I think I only at an extra 100-200 calories over my max daily amount. Sodium however was a different story . Anyways back to the date. We ate , talked there for quite a while . Or rather she talked , I listened. She was a bit , umm talkative. I was expecting that though. We then ended up going and catching a movie. I girded up my manloins and saw Hairspray. It was actually pretty good . Kind of weird watching John Travolta be a woman but otherwise it was good .
Afterwards we talked some more in the parking lot. Yeah I did get a goodnight kiss before one of you asks .
And no Kimberly , no horseback riding . I mean we were in a movie theatre. Will there be a second date? I dunno . Honestly I didn't feel as big a connection as I had hoped. So it is perhaps back into the proverbial dating pool I go . |

Kind of weird watching John Travolta be a woman but otherwise it was good .
Afterwards we talked some more in the parking lot. Yeah I did get a goodnight kiss before one of you asks . So who initiated the kiss? Did you want to kiss her? Or did you feel obligated to?
And no Kimberly , no horseback riding . I mean we were in a movie theatre. Oh, like no one ever has sex in a movie theater!! Now I personally have never gone beyond making out during the movie, however, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sheryl has horseback ridden up and down the aisles--brandishing a zucchini!! Will there be a second date? I dunno . Honestly I didn't feel as big a connection as I had hoped. So it is perhaps back into the proverbial dating pool I go . | So do you feel that there is no big connection for either of you, or do you think you could get a second date if you wanted one, but you just don't want one? lol Spill your guts! |

sona | Hi Sona,
We got a crapload of rain on friday night for about an hour but that's been about it . It was such a bad storm that my neighbors house was struck by lightning and the fire dpt had to come out. It was strange because it was gone about as fast as it came up.
Hope everything is good up your way in Athens. |

Maybe I had built up my hopes or something. Who knows *L* I am pretty sure there could be a second date , do I want one ? mmm right this minute I'd say no I don't think so . But here's my problem , how to tell her this. I absolutely hate having someone mad at me or upset because of me. Sooooo I'll have to tell her in some way because it wouldn't be fair to lead her on.
Now I realize why I'm a comfort eater, just thinking about the pressures of the dating world gets my nerves in a bunch *L* mmm a doughnut would make it all feel better! That's a joke btw , I'm not going to go eat something
It looks like my diary is becoming a combo of my weightloss and my lovelife (or lack thereof)*L* |

It looks like my diary is becoming a combo of my weightloss and my lovelife (or lack thereof)*L* | If it were me (being your date) I would much rather have you send me an email saying you didn't feel any chemistry, or something like that. It is much better knowing where you stand, than spending the week wondering what the hell's going on. So I would be far less upset with you if you sent me a polite, to the point email, then if you just avoided the issue and I never heard from you again. And an email is non-confrontational, and much easier than a phone call! No need to go eat a doughnut...mmm...doughnuts! Now see what you did! |

I have to do something tonight though one way or another.
Thanks for the advice , it's much appreciated. |

Thanks for the advice , it's much appreciated. | Sending an email is not being a pussy. Hell, it's a lot more than most guys in your situation would do, trust me! lol Many guys would just avoid her and never contact her again. Just tell her you think she's nice, but there just wasn't anything there, and wish her the best for the future. Problem solved. |

And even though the horseback riding has been fun, there are still lots of issues to work out between us. So hey, Paul, if I end up back on the market...I'll be looking for a new riding partner. Oooh, I'm sooo bad. |

well , I got a reply email. I don't think she took it very well. I had wished her well in her search for someone special and that I would like to remain friends but she told me I was being cliche' . It was a sincere comment on my part but I think I may just let things lay where they are rather than try to justify myself. I have this overwhleming sense of making things right so I might end up replying anyways.
On a more positive note, I lost another .6 lbs so hopefully the 200's will happen this week! |

I wouldn't bother replying--you'd probably just end up in an unpleasant exchange of emails. What's done is done. Move on and don't worry about it. I know how you feel--I have that same need to make things right. But sometimes you just have to realize that you can't always do that.

Congrats on the .6lbs!! You will be in the 200s before you know it! | well it's too late , I already replied *L* I have this over sensitive need to say my peace at times so I couldn't help myself !
Regardless of whatever a response I might get , I will let it lay and not pursue it any further. Although I might vent about it here in the old diary | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
